Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

Can anyone who used a Black Apple leather case (for the 12 series) for lets say 3 months share some photos? I have seen a few mentions about the edges becoming shiny etc. I want to see how it holds up after months of regular use.
Oh and also does anyone got any tips of how to reduce the stickiness of the case? Does this go away with time or can i do something about it? Or do i have to live with this? 😅

Pro tip: find an alternative leather case that you like, apples leather quality is donkey booty this year 😂
Green or blue?
Lol, that is interesting some of you are seeing blue. The Forest Green is quite dark, definitely a contrast between it and the phone being Midnight Green.

Fell out of love with the saddle brown. Got the black leather case this time on my outdated 11 Pro.

My new iPhone 12 Pro Max - Decoded Tan Brown Case, Freshly arrived this morning.
Quick review:
- The leather smells really good
- Feels like a dried leather and solid
- The fit is tight, the grip is good
- Has a decent lip all around the edge so its safe to put the phone face down (already installed a spigen tempered glass)
- The case is firm unlike the apple leather case that can deattach so easily

No problem with the buttons. They’re all clicky, way more clicky than the Nomad case. I just moved from the Nomad Natural case by the way..

Is the camera bump asymmetrical just so they can put their brand name on it? My analness for symmetry would bother me so much.
Nope, no issue with the camera bump. The back of the case is flat, and the cam bump is symmetrical. No bump if you put it on flat surface
Does it feel sticky? Did you do anything to maintain it at this condition (leather condition etc.)Mines fine.
That’s odd. I have a decoded as well... and the bottom of the phone is covered. How come yours isn’t...

No idea. Maybe Decoded sell different types of case around the world. Im in Indonesia by the way, and the case they sell for the Iphone 12 does not cover the bottom part
I used Obenauf’s Heavy Duty leather treatment every five days and i often sunbath the case while i was sunbathing every morning.

i just checked their website. I believe decoded changed their phone case design recently. Wow... I really preferred the covered bottom.

No, it’s fine and I’ve not put anything on it. A couple of years back I ruined a saddle brown case by treating it. That became unbearably sticky. Since then I’ve never put anything on my leather cases.
Thank you so much! All I ever do is clean it with a damp cloth with soap whenever I comeback from being out, haven’t done any real “leather maintenance” to it.
The MagSafe ones have a covered bottom. The open bottom ones don’t have MagSafe. They sell both. I have a blue one without the MagSafe so the bottom is open. I find it more comfortable on the pinky.
I’m at 3 months with my black leather and if I look closely I can definitely see some shiny spots on the edges of the case but not very noticeable. Compared to how the brown one looked after 1.5 months, I’m thinking the black is the best bet this year.
