Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I wouldn't expect an answer. It's common custom around here to spout misinformation if you're unhappy with a product.
Where is your evidence it's not. After sliding on tarmac with a leather racing suit on, I know what's leather and the damage it can take and what is NOT.
I can tell you with a very high degree of certainty that it’s not leatherette, just from the fact that Apple describes it as leather. Dunno about the US but over here there are trading laws and there’s no way Apple would be misdescribing a product like that.
Not to mention that it’s obvious just from looking, feeling and smelling it that it’s leather.
I’m also not really sure how that picture made you think otherwise, seeing as it’s showing patina which is a lot more like the patina everyone in this thread associates with leather...
Just because you’ve used some leather goods in the past designed for maximum durability doesn’t make you an expert on all the types of leather.
The pictures showed terrible wear for a supposedly leather product. thats what I saw.
Ten days in with my new Decoded case. Feels much nicer than the garbage saddle brown apple case it replaces. The smell of leather is fantastic too. Didn’t spend the extra for the MagSafe version as I don’t need it but they do make one. The MagSafe one also coves the bottom but I find this more comfortable on my pinky.
I’ve tried nomad, I’ve tried others... but nothing quite looks like apple’s leather cases. Back to black on this set up. The AirPods case is from Native Union, which is on sale on Amazon for 9.99 USD
I agree! While the other colors may not patina as nice as they use to. Nothing beats the quality and feel they still retain. The buttons are unmatched full body protection. Compare brown and red leather for iPhone XS.
The original brown case came. I cleaned with leather lotion with beeswax and compared it to a red leather case.

I started out with red on my X and ended up swapping it for midnight blue. Every time I see a weathered red case I wish I had stuck with it. Beautiful.

Do you by any chance owned an apple leather case to give me a comparison? Is it thinner, thicker etc?
I have both and would say the sizing is virtually identical. The buttons are better on the apple but the leather is better feeling and smelling on the decoded

Has anyone purchased a grey or white Grams28 case? Curious to see how it ages I’m assuming not very well tho bc they’re light colors

So the non-mag safe cases are the open bottom? Can anybody compare the 2?
I love it very sexy. Mines all weird albeit mine started about...3 months ago. Curious if anyone puts a skin on their phone given magsafe and the change itll magnetically attach particles to the phone
This is the nicest iPhone 12 SB case I’ve seen, did you sandblast and toss it in a blender to achieve this?

but to add: i used it for 4 months and only the sides were getting completely dark so i decided to patina it by myself with just alcohol and tissues in a few hours only, i was actually 100% expecting to completely ruin the case (as i never tried this before and i was even okay with destroying it in the worst case scenario) considering how i read by some people here who said that it didn’t work for them, but for me it worked out quite okay somehow?
(for anyone out there, just be cautious if u try it by yourselves!)
i used the magsafe charger a few times in the beginning but i see it more as a gimmick in my case tbh. but i absolutely love magsafe for attaching my phone to my fridge lol.
