Yeah I’d say that’s accurate, with a lean more toward black. The amount of blue I was able to see at that angle is what prompted me to grab my work phone for a photo.
They will just refund you and tell you tp keep it, not taking returns, they did for me today even though I havn't even got the case yet till next week lol
Here is my xs max case from launch day that was handed down. It needs a good cleaning but the patina is amazing.
duragloss 221 is an amazing product and has the legit super dank leather smell everyone loves. This is what was used in this in the beginning. Still waiting on the ESR case to arrive to be treated and we will see how it goes. It has real metal buttons, MagSafe and claim to not have any poly coating we shall see.

Yea I don’t think any are perfectly symmetrical so wouldn’t worry too much about that.
Not the Pro Max but I have the regular Pro preordered.
I might end up cancelling it even though their case for my 12 Pro was my favorite. I’m digging this Platinum branded one from Best Buy right now.
I really don’t get why they can’t get their first preorders of their cases out till 11/1. I’m probably going to be attached to one of these cases I already have by then ha.
I have the platinum it’s nice, but after using for a while I wish that would have created lighter shade of brown. I’m not the biggest fan of dark brown and apple just keeps disappointing everyone especially now that they replaced saddle brown with golden brown. In certain lighting it appears to be yellowish orangeish. Some claim the quality is different, but I see no difference. Therefore I’m giving BullStrap a shot, I’m looking for patina and it doesn’t seem like apple will do that anymore
Picked up the iPhone leather case in Golden Brown for my 13 Pro Max the other day and super excited to use it. I am coming from a saddle brown case for my iPhone XS Max and attached is the patina after about 3 years. Hoping that the golden brown will achieve a similar wear, but after seeing some of the pictures in this thread, I am not too optimistic. I am really happy with the leather texture so far, but I am not too crazy about the color. Time will tell if I end up keeping it. At least it looks nice in the sun!

Sorry to say, you are probably going to be disappointed. Those corners are going to wear and just look dirty. I went with midnight and it is a bit boring but feels great and looks sleek.
Heyo, just wondering if anyone here had the Deep Violet for the 12 Pro (released Spring this year). Already like this purple far more than the two shades of purples they have the 13 Pro, but just wanted to know how it ages to get an idea of what to expect with either of the current Wisteria / Dark Cherry options
This is closer to midnight blue in person, being that it is a darker option it will not age to bad
Just a reminder that this is how the 5s cases looked. I don’t think it is the leather as much as it is the shape
Got the platinum case from Best Buy. And slapped on the camera protector because it came with the screen protector.
You are absolutely right. I tried using the case a bit more today and the leather just feels… almost like plastic? It’s hard to describe but it just doesn’t feel the same as many others have said in this thread. Leather quality has gone down since the iPhone 11 Gen cases.
Another thing I noticed with the golden brown is that it looks like an orange sherbert popsicle in artificial lighting. 🤢
I thought I was going to like the golden brown initially but I need more of a “twice-fried Korean fried chicken” brown. 😂
This thing is definitely going back.

I respectfully disagree. The 12 leathers were plastic like, these are much better. I’m holding my 11 pro saddle brown and think these 13 leathers (midnight and golden brown at least) are even more supple and smell better than even the 11 cases. I had the red, black, forest green too. I’ve had the leathers since the 4 and am very impressed with these this year. I totally understand color preference though. I love the golden brown though too.
