That’s correct! No alcohol, no solution no sandpaper or anything. Literally just rubbed it off with towel and sock.
Not sure if it would be worth it with the midnight as I haven’t seen that color in person.

Not sure if it would be worth it with the midnight as I haven’t seen that color in person.
I think that if you did that with Midnight, then you turn a bluish-black case to black. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
They almost look identical but at half the price. I wonder if both use the same manufacturer in China to assemble it and simple rebrand the item/packaging.
My only concern is additional duties and taxes charged as I'm in Canada.

Thanks for sharing! That's great to hear. A lot of discussion out there recently seems to make it sound like this is horrible quality leather this time around- but it sounds like maybe it's just the coating that many are not too fond of.
I ordered one in black. The advantage over bullstrap is that there’s no logo on the back. Looks super clean IMO
I doubt it because of cost of apple’s cases….and can you imagine the hurricane of furry from everyone if Apple does indeed use cats and dogs?!!
I found out about dogs & cats when i was shopping for leather bands on Amazon for Apple Watch. I wondered why it was soooo cheap to get leather bands. Did more reading…and yikes!!
Look, if some here think that they got a cow leather case (from anyone) for $10, then i got some nice ocean view property on Mercury to sell you!

Yeah, I think the leather quality is pretty decent but the dye/paint method is not what we normally associate with quality tanned leather.

I am. They converted me. wish They had some stronger magnets sometimes but it works most the time!
I sanded mine like there's no tomorrow, and no holes yet, you could see that the magnet ring is more visible but no holes
October 20 for me. I saw that someone here ordered in September and it still hadn’t shipped. So I just emailed them to cancel my order and I ordered an Andar one. Bull strap cases are amazing but they’re severely backordered.
Been using my untreated Sequoia Green leather case since launch day and I don't think it's changed one bit lol.
I have 13 Pro Max ESR leather case, but it have magsafe and "Top-Grain Leather" in description ... 32 € on official site and 10 usd on aliexpress
So true! I just opened my new leather case last night, and holy cow- it smells like plastic, like one of those PU cases. It's a nice case, but if the package didn't say it is genuine leather, I would swear there is no natural leather on this case.
Those have been mentioned here before. I have had my platinum horween leather case for a few weeks now and it's starting to patina beautifully and smells amazing. It really is great quality leather. Some of the best in the world. Horween makes the leather for NFL footballs and NBA basketballs, cordovan for super expensive shoes etc.
