Apple cases don't patina it's just dirt and grime, never seen one do that though with the button.
Dumb question for anyone.. was considering picking up the bullstrap in black but I’d like to see what it would look like with a silver iPhone. Does anyone have a pic of it they can share? Thanks!! (Even gold will work. Just wanna see the contrast)
I bought it through Amazon, but still going to try get it covered today, it is ridiculous.
Try to use a leather cleaner and then a leather conditioner, it should improve a lot.

Did you do anything to force a patinia, or is this natural wear and tear?
Thought I'd post a quick update, while I was here.
4 months on the 13 mini case, 3 months on the Airpods case.
Seems to be holding up well, darker than I was expecting.
Enjoying the patina process, didnt think I would enjoy seeing what wear and tear goes on in the pocket world!
Well it was fun while it lasted. My iPhone 12 mini slipped from a pocket while I was on my road bike travelling 40 kph. The caste and wallet were badly damaged and a rock punctured the screen. Picked up a new iPhone 11 for cheap from my carrier. Can’t find much in the way of leather cases other than overpriced bullstrap so this is the end of my leather journey for now.
Oh man that absolutely sucks. The case probably took a real beating. Sucks to hear about the screen, guess no screen protector can save you from sharp rocks. Good to hear you’re back up and running so quick, I think maybe nomad’s having a sale, I remember getting an email from them. Bit overrated brand, but I like that there’s no logos on their cases and the case covers the bottom of the phone properly. Might be something cheap for your 11?
Nomad is out of stock on the 11 at the moment. So was Andar and Sena. Bullstrap was in stock but $105 Canadian!!
I know I’ll stumble onto something sooner or later.
Just ordered myself a Nomad Modern in Natural for my new gold 13 Pro - got it for $40 through their outlet.
And in case anyone is looking at the Black or Rustic Brown Nomad cases, I noticed they are currently on sale for $30 through Huckberry (had to go with the natural myself though - love the look of a veg tan patina once it's really baked in the sun).

Five week update.
Had to apply the ‘dramatic warm’ filter to the camera to get a closer to life colour as the standard setting on my 13 pro was making the case appear a lot brighter and greener than it was.
This is as close to life as I can get it. Love this case.

That’s looks great. Does the top look black as it does in the pic? I’m hoping so. Wish they had a tan/black combo.
It’s a dark blue right now. I’m sure it will gradually get darker as it patinas.
