Have been using the iPhone 13 Midnight Leather Case for 1 week now and noticed that it's getting sticky till the point it's getting uncomfortable to use. Tried wiping it down lightly with water and a cloth but the stickiness still remains

Anyone else has this issue?

Does it go away with time, and would rubbing it down with rubbing alcohol help remove this stickiness?

Had mine since release and hasn't got any better.

DON'T use alcohol on the leather, it spoils it!

You should use a leather cleaner, neutral pH products and a microfiber cloth.
Once cleaned well, I suggest you use a leather conditioner, it nourishes and protects the leather making it even softer.
I have been doing this for 2 weeks on my Midnight and it is as good as new.

I am aware of the fact that they are not products that everyone has at home, I deal with car detailing and the best solution to maintain all leather products is to use specific products for the leather ?

I chose the bourbon Bullstrap and I love the color of it. I have a question for everyone….does this have a nice contrast with my midnight leather link? I love my leather link band, and I just don’t know about the color combo 😂. I’m not sure if I should exchange it for the ocean case. I wanted something different cause most of my cases are dark (black, grey or blue).

I think the Ocean is by far the best looking case available. The Bourbon looks great too, but I think if you’re concerned about matching the Ocean will compliment the Midnight better.

Here is my saddle brown case and wallet at 90 days. Yes, its had some treatments. I realized after about 60 days that it was never going to age like the old SB cases so I helped it along. The worn antique leather look is my favorite. This will probably be the last photos of it I post as I don't think it will change much from here. Will use it till the iPhone 14 release and then hopefully upgrade. (The battery in my mini is starting to show its age). Hopefully the 14s come with better leather quality from Apple. I realize this look may not be for everyone but I'm happy with it.

My Bullstrap ocean and iP13Pro. I like this case a lot as its got gorgeous leather and color, but the corners pop out all the time.

Not many people mention this, so maybe it’s not prevalent, but its definitely an issue for me. I think its about as bad, or possibly worse, as the apple leather and silicone case (I have one of each).

IMO its really a problem of the MagSafe case design in general where the lip doesnt close over the phone, and stays straight to be "easy on/off", which is the concept but it doesnt really work well in practice (for this case or the apple case, leather and silicone).

Also posted a pic of the front of the case w/the phone inserted because its just so rare to see that here. Hardly anyone posts photos of this angle for some unknown reason, even though its the angle most viewed when actually owning the phone, and speaks a lot about the fit of the case, and IMO the most important view of all in a review.

You should contact them and ask for a replacement. My Bullstrap cases have never easily had a corner pop out, and I've had 3 of them now.

Their customer service is usually pretty good about replacing for any defects (or any physical damage with their lifetime warranty).

Yeah I bought an Ocean Bullstrap case for my Mini before I decided to upgrade to the Pro and it has the corner popping issue. Wife couldn’t care less which case is on the phone so I never got around to asking for a replacement.

For $85, the fit should be perfect. There shouldn't be any issues.

The corner popping issue exists on apple leather cases as well but not on all of them. I had a bad luck getting one which I had to get replaced. It's sad to see that this issue exists on bullstrap as well. And beautiful pictures btw, I really love this colour. If apple doesn't get their act together with the leather cases next time then I'll probably move on to bullstrap. It looks the best imo compared to the rest of the brands and cases.

My apple leather does not have the corner pop up issue but the tight fit it had on the beginning went loose with time.

I had a waist drop on hard floor, phone hit on the loose corner, case gave in due to the small impact and the actual screen suffered a small scratch.

It was ok since I’m using a screen protector, but I’m retiring this case. I’m buying a walnut Mous case. Not as slim but at least I can be confident the case won’t come out in small drops.

Yeah I also have the apple case for the ip13pro, as Ive had for every iPhone I ever had previously, in at least one color. The case is super nice and even with the corner issue I still use it from time to time. The Bullstrap case is on a whole other level though, in terms of quality and looks. Its also about 50% more expensive. I would recommend it, but be prepared to barely use your other cases again.

Honestly I think its Apple's fault for designing a phone that has a feature that isnt exactly as billed. Bullstrap wants the case to be MagSafe compatible, which in the gif for MagSafe shows it popping on and off with the power of magnets. This in theory is a great idea but the magnets arent strong enough to hold it. A physically wrap-around lip would have been better, but less "MagSafe". Its a minor issue and Im not gonna return it. Its not too bad.

Bull strap is just like the old saddle brown
