This is my Andar Aspen navy case. I love the quality and everything about it. I’m just not sure about the small lip toward the bottom, it makes me nervous.

I took my iPhone 13 Pro out of the dark green Apple leather case, something I do about once a week to clean the phone, and the case just snapped next to the power switch.

Will Apple replace it, is it even worth taking it to them to see what they will say, or will it be a case of "user error"?

If you have an Apple Store that is convenient, then I would take it to them. You don't say how long you've had it, but it is certainly less than 6 months. I would give them a chance to replace it.

How old is that? It looks black. Does it look black in person? I ask because I’m thinking of trying the Andar Marshal. Would love for it to look black/brown instead of navy/ brown.

I think I’m going to pull the trigger on a Bullstrap for my 13 pro sierra blue. Will the bourbon look good on it? ?
I’ve seen Sierra Blue with the sienna and looks really nice I’m sure bourbon will look just as good

Are Bullstrap cases also known for a decreasingly smaller lip as it nears the bottom of the case? My Andar does that. I saw some reviews on Bullstraps website from customers that have the same issue ?.
My BullStrap is the best case I’ve owned
0,001% chance of that happening unfortunately. I’m still wondering why they changed the tanning process of their leather cases from the 11 to the 12. Was it to lower production costs?
I’m sure it had to do with MagSafe.

I’m sure it’s because the cow-eyed and placid Consumers who make up 95% of Apple’s sales prefer the Botox better-than-reality bling that they’ve been bred to prefer over generations of applied marketing science.

My first leather case!
Midnight black, 10 days.

I have used a product from ADBL (Leather conditioner) 2 times, which I also use for my car and will continue to do it weekly. I hope it lasts and I hope it doesn't discolour the edges 😬

2 months since I removed the coating on the Native Union(left) and new golden brown apple leather, removed (some/most of) the coating last night and a light layer of neatsfoot oil. Maybe I need a little bit more oil...

Have been using the iPhone 13 Midnight Leather Case for 1 week now and noticed that it's getting sticky till the point it's getting uncomfortable to use. Tried wiping it down lightly with water and a cloth but the stickiness still remains :(

Anyone else has this issue?

Does it go away with time, and would rubbing it down with rubbing alcohol help remove this stickiness?

I've had the case for a couple of months now and unfortunately the stickiness is still an issue for me. I wiped mine down with rubbing alcohol wipes and I'm still dealing with the stickiness. I will say I only used like 2 wipes so I might not have completely wiped the coating away.

I would use baby wipes instead. They work great for me. They get rid of the stickiness and make it smooth again ??

Several weeks ago I treated my apple saddle brown leather case with sand paper, leather balm, water, soap etc. The color might be ok but there is this oily texture now on the case. Every Fingerprint is visible. Any chance to get rid of it or did I simply destroy the case?

Looks like you've already destroyed it.

Water and soap on leather is a big no no.

I reckon all you can try is a leather conditioner

In my opinion I think you should have stopped after a light coat of balm. You might be able to salvage this with an alcohol wipe to get the oily coating off. M From there I’d do a very light coat of balm and then buff it with something like an old sock for a while to pull any excess off.

Oh yeah, it's over. That's how it looked like when I ruined a perfectly good Apple leather by following instructions posted here lol, I don't know why I did it. I guess I fell for the forced patina meme. Never again.

Now I don't even wipe or clean my leather case at all. Even if it smells weird, I just stop smelling it ? It feels and looks so much better when done naturally with time and handling of the case.

Thanks for the advice. Didn't help :-( So I guess it's over. Does anyone have a picture of a 1-year old iPhone 12 Saddle Brown case? Would be curious to see the "patina" now.

Try putting it under sunlight for few hours and see if it helps.
