Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

Quick update after using coconut oil..now my fingers leave a mark on the case when I touch it… what should I have to do?? It seems like an oily Mark…

Guys, what do you think, is the Bullstrap Leather as sticky as the original Apple Leather's? I think "less" sticky is the Nomad, am I right? Do you like when the case is sticky? It is so annoying for me, do not like it. My hand is always greasy, is it good for leather cases? I sweat easily, I do now know to it is good for leather or not.

That usually goes away for me pretty quickly. I find its only like that for an hour or two after I treat the case. Wipe it off with a soft cloth and then just use it like normal.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. In terms of leather quality the Bullstrap is better than apple and nomad. The stickiness you feel from the Bullstrap is more natural. And with the Bullstrap you’ll definitely get a legit nice patina. Something that works for me really well are baby wipes. They don’t have any harsh chemicals, and they aren’t too wet. I’d give those a try 👍🏼. My hands get super greasy too!

I did the same on my Nomad and it ruined the experience for me. I was really find of the case, and now I rarely even use it. I've tried leather cleaners, vinegar solution and even talcum to absorb the oil and neither of it worked. I'd really like to find a solution to this..
 
I’ve heard a single drop of olive oil does the trick. I’ve personally never tried it though cause my hands are always super oily anyway.
 
Thought I'd post some photos of my Geometric Goods Vector case for my iPhone 11. I had originally picked up a plain brown one in April but had an issue with it so Roman over at GG sent me a warranty replacement and I got the Antique Vector one. I wasn't 100% sold on the color on day one but after three weeks I can already see amazing patina progress. Photos are original, from the website because I forgot to take one, 1 week and finally 3 weeks.

Yes, you are right, but the nomad feels better to me, do not know why. 😀

The only reason I have always had such a hard time jumping onto the Nomad train. I just can’t take the case seriously….to me, it’s like a cheap plastic case with a leather skin attached. Just my two cents and not trashing anyone else’s preferences. Just can’t imagine using a Nomad case when Bullstrap is out there…

I do love the Nomad sport band on my AW7 🙂
 
I’ve always had Apple Leather cases on my phones. I personally preferred the open bottom design. I got the 13 Pro Max, and for some reason the bottom left portion kept popping out. Tried exchanging it, the replacement did the same thing. I got a Nomad as I liked the black mixed with brown, but the lightning port was too recessed and wouldn’t work with my Pro Clip in my car for CarPlay, and it was slightly too long for my belt clip. Pulled the trigger on the Bullstrap in Bourbon a few weeks ago and LOVE it. Quality is impressive. It works with all my accessories. It’s already developing a nice patina, it’s tight to the phone, very happy. Just received a Black Edition today so I could switch it up. This is now my case of choice moving forward.
