I think Andar takes the win for this year. That is unless BullStrap decides to offer full body protection. I’ve never really had an issue with the open bottom however I like that peace of mind. On top of that I don’t think there are too many full grain leather cases out there.

OK just got the Andar in and I'm very impressed. I love it.

Color is just like the original apple saddle which should patina into a nice rich tobacco.

Bottom is now closed.

Leather quality is amazing. Full grain vs bullstraps top grain. (Full grain is the top grade of leather) Very strong leather scent right off the bat. Feels great in hand. You just want to keep touching it unlike the blackbrook which felt like sandpaper. The Andar leather is not too thick and not too thin. No weird folds in the leather on the corners etc.

Fitment is excellent. Fits exactly like the apple "fake" leather cases. Good magsafe magnets, nice clicky buttons.

My only small gripe is that I really wished they went with silver/chrome/bronze/ etc camera ring and buttons vs black but it's not a big deal. The camera ring is alloy BTW, not plastic.

Very happy with the purchase.

Yes, Navy. It’s a very dark blue. It originally looked lighter blue in my photo, but I edited to look closer to real life. The metal buttons and camera ring change a lot depending on how the light hits them… at some angles they look similar to the leather color, but when light is reflecting off of them like in my photo, they appear light blue (my photo almost makes it look like light purple, but it’s blue in real life). MagSafe connection feels similar to Apple cases. Fits very snug all the way around.

This looks nice! I almost ordered it, but backed out because I didn’t know whether the bottom was closed or not. The product photos on their website suck and only show the back, and previous versions of the case had an open bottom, which I don’t like, not because of lack of protection, but because the bottom ridge hurts my pinky on flat bottomed phones.

Yep they really need to fix the website and description to show this part. I thought it was open bottom too at first and almost passed then was pleasently surprised.

Sounds like a solid option!

It will be a tough choice between the Decoded, Aspen and Mujjo cases in blue. I guess that's the benefit of waiting for your iPhone to ship. Maybe more reviews will pop up in the meantime on YouTube as well to make the decision easier.

Camel tan. It's very close to the old school saddle brown apple cases back when they would patina to a nice cocoa/tobacco.

Micro fiber lining, buttons take a little bit of breaking in I removed the phone out of the cases to break them in stretch the leather a bit and now they feel perfect

There is a thin coating of suede type material inside.

Received the camel Andar today. Very high quality. Smell, feel, buttons, fit, etc. All great. Black MagSafe wallet looks fantastic on it with the black anodized camera ring.
