Ah, the good apple leather days.
My wife dropped my 14 PM in its leather case onto concrete last night and just a couple of nicks on the leather around the screen. Obviously YMMV.
The last of the great Apple leather. Plus the rounded edge phones are still the best. Hate the flat edge phones... bring back the curve and the good leather Apple!
I've got serious choice paralysis over which case to get. Even though I know apple's leather case will age poorly... the color choices are so much better than the shades of brown and black the third parties have.
I wish I could agree with this, but I don't. I love the camel tan from Andar and the Sienna from Bullstrap. Apple's umber looks like a couch my parents had back in the late 80's.
I'm speaking more to the variety than any direct comparison. My last case was brown, so I'd like to mix it up with a totally different color.
No, sorry, I wasn't in any way trying to bash you or anything like that, I hope it didn't come across like that. I just had a bad experience with the Apple cases a couple of years back and don't think I can go back to them.

Bullstrap's Ocean is quite magnificent.

I believe Andar's blue is similar.
Boy… those were the last good cases from apple. Loved mine. This is where I liked the bullstrap. It reminds me a lot of the old apple cases with the bottom cut out.
Besides this and ink, I decided to order the rugged nomad case in orange today, which should ship and deliver sometime in November.
How's the protection around the camera? The reviews I've seen show the camera cutout practically even with the lenses. Do you feel safe setting it down on a table?
It's almost even with very little leap above the camera lenses. I always put something soft underneath so this doesn't worry me.
It's Andar day for me! And I just got a notification that my new leather wallet is out for delivery too. Getting a warranty replacement on a wallet that is 12 years old.
got mine in yesterday as well. One corner is slightly lower than the others making it nearly flush with the screen. Also, the camera bump protection is nearly flush with the camera lenses. How does the fit of your case compare?
I think if you want leather and protection you have to get one of those hybrid cases with the rubber sides and leather back. Nomad, Mous, Dbrand all make protective cases with leather backs.
