I feel the same way. I received my $160 lucrin “vegetable tanned” leather and it feels like cheap plastic. Totally disappointed, so I’m back using my crazy horse craft sleeve.

Very surprised to hear the Lucrin wasn’t up to the standards you’d expect. Good to know. I wasn’t aware of Crazy Horse Craft and checked them out. Very nice products! I carry two phones (work & personal) and their two iPhone case is very appealing. Thanks for sharing.

I’ll post pics and my thoughts on the Andar but I anticipate it will live up to my standards, seems like most people have been quite pleased with them.

I fully agree…. And I’m in the same boat.

I’ve parted with £60 for my Ink leather case. I can’t take myself away from the Apple form factor, I’m in the UK so don’t want to wait for a decent case to be shipped from the states and I know in six months time I’ll be wishing I did cos my apple case will be f***ed 😄😄

You should look at Ryan London cases. Decent leather and UK made, could be an interesting option against the USA Bullstrap.

Open bottom though aren’t they? I seem to have real issues with pinky-gate, with any open bottomed case

Indeed open bottomed. Pre ordered the sierra one for the 14 pro. Should arrive somewhere in oktober.

Didn’t know it is the same leather as the Bullstrap. Price almost half on favor for the RL case. Put me towards this one.

I’m going use the Lucrin sleeve before completely writing it off. I’ve also had it engraved with black lettering on the cover; I’m not entirely sure what their return policy is on personalized items nor do I want to go through the hassle of a return.

I ordered Apple leather to make sure had something to start with. To me, it feels slightly different this year. Not sure if means maybe different wear this year. Who knows. Apple always pushing limits of quality vs cost or what they can get away with. Went to far on the 12’s and 13’s cases.

We already know they’ve kept the same pigmented (painted) leather finish of the 12 & 13 cases.

I ordered an Apple midnight leather case to have something to put on the the phone for launch day.

Unfortunately to me it feels exactly like the Golden Brown I bought for the 13 PM last year — and it’s been confirmed to be pigmented leather again this year.

I actually like pretty much everything about Apple’s leather cases I just wish they would go back to an aniline dyed leather for proper patina.

The nomad sadly has some fitting issues. You can clearly see the steel frame from the phone, it doesnt fit at that side 😕

Bought early July, used daily, not treated in any way. This is the worst an Apple leather case has aged, and I’ve been using them since 5S.

The fit is still way better than any aftermarket case, and the phone has survived many drops without a scratch.

I had a midnight silicone and returned it because of how black it looked. I gotta have that hint of color.

Midnight still isn’t a true black this year, it still has some subtle blue undertones.
I don’t have a Midnight case from last year to compare though.

I’d say there is ever so slightly more of a blue hue IRL than there appears in these photos.

The buttons are more of a reference true black.

The Space Black bezels are also a lot darker than Midnight this year.
