Try BullStrap or Mujjo! They make some very quality leather cases similar to what Apple makes. I have a BullStrap one on my XR right now and I love it, its much higher quality leather than the Apple ones.
I’ve only had my Apple saddle brown for two weeks - just barely to the “not bright orange anymore” patina.
I can’t believe how much more I like the saddle brown as opposed to the black leather that I always buy.

Did you sand at all beforehand? I tried sanding my Mujjo case and soaking in espresso and it did nothing but ruin the case.
Xs max saddle brown two months of daily use. No conditioners, oils, sanding, etc. Have been holding my phone more lately reading books. Also, it sat out in the sun for a couple of hours at a barbecue.

And Amazon was the only place I could find the saddle brown for my X.
Just scored the red one for $24.99. Not too too bad ^_^ with a credit balance it came out to 16 dollars and some change. Can’t beat that with a bat.
Does the Bullstrap cover the bottom? All of the pictures are only of the back of the case.
It wraps around the bottom corners similar to the official Apple ones, so if that the phone bottom doesn't touch but the lightning port is still open.
I’m so bummed. I have had my saddle brown for 3 plus weeks and it was just starting to develop a nice patina. Then I dropped it on the tile floor this morning and took a big chip out of the corner. Did what it was supposed to and the phone is fine. However, the case looks like crap with the dent, chip and hole out of it.
I went on Amazon to buy another but they are out of stock. I can find the XS cases but don’t like how they fit the X Phone. If anyone finds a saddle brown Apple case for the X, please let me know.

Thanks, I saw that one. Closed until 9 something tonight for holiday. In the meantime I ordered the Saddleback leather case.

I have the black Apple leather case but Got the Olive Mujjo leather case for my gold XS Max today - I was desperate for the Forest Green Apple case but cannot get one for love nor money.
Stunning case and the leather feels so much more premium than Apple’s. I love it at the moment, I’ll give it a few days to see if I decide to keep it. Only thing I wish it did have was the aluminium buttons.
