They also told me this user is pretty rough on their case too. But I imagine if you baby it it wouldn’t be as bad but it wouldn’t stay pristine. I did order the AirPod pro case in this color tho. Wouldn’t do the case…

Is there anyone out there with both a Bullstrap and an Andar who prefers the Andar?

Yeah I actually do. I like them both but prefer the andar. I like the leather wrap around the camera more on the Bullstrap than the metal ring on the andar but overall still prefer the andar. The bottom lip covered is a big pro for me too.

In my opinion BS/ RL/ Cretanbull (only because leather around power is not wrap cleanly)/ Andar.

Glad I’m not alone on this. They goes did a new leather artisan/machine.

Is BS less bulkier and less slippery than Andar? I feel like Andar is still quite bulky and slippery to use after used for a few weeks.
Considering buy a BS 🤔

Yes it’s easier to hold and gains a lot more grip over usage. And I have both.

What about the lips around the edges? Are they thinner than Andar as well?
I want a case slim as the Apple leather case. Andar is a bit thick on the edges.

According to most, not very well unfortantely.

Someone did a test on them under microscope on here and found that they're bordering a 'pleather'... I think, or something along those lines

Unfortunately the iPhone 13 Decoded Chocolate Brown case doesn't seem to patina very much. At least not like I'm used to from other cases. The brown color is very uniform and scratches aren't lighter in color, if that makes sense. Here's some photos of mine after 25 days.

I'm getting more and more convinced the Decoded iphone 13 case is synthetic leather. I've had my brown case for little over a month now and there are no signs of patina in terms of color change. I also did a water test, where I put some water droplets on the case. I let it sit for a few minutes and the droplets hadn't absorbed into the leather at all. I wiped them off and you couldn't tell they had been there.

Stay away from Decoded if you want patina.

This is my brown Decoded after nearly 2 straight months of use. It’s nice and grippy but not showing signs of patina at all. I have a brown Platinum case waiting for pickup at Best Buy later so I might give it a shot and see if I like it. Goes against me wanting to only have 1 case but I want a better quality leather.

Have been using a Decoded leather case for slightly over a month. As what many people have been reporting here recently, it is not developing ANY patina. If that is what you look for in a leather case, this is the case for you. But for me I won’t be a returning customer.

I had the blue on my old 12 mini. It got slightly darker around the edges but also developed a nice shine over the whole case. I did post a pic for someone else a while back. I’ll see if I can find it again.

Received my Bullstrap case for 14p a couple of weeks ago. I love everything about it except for the open bottom… I loved the open bottom on the apple saddle brown for the XS (used for 4 years and had an amazing patina) but the straight edges of the 14 don’t have the same hand feel with the open bottom, it’s very uncomfortable to hold as I use my pinky to balance. Went back to apple leather for the better hand feel. Anyone else feel that open bottom on the newer phones is uncomfortable?

It depends on the device on my 13 mini my RL with open case feels very comfortable on my hand (I am 192 cm tall though).

Yeah I do/did, depending on the case.

I sent my first RL back because of this but then bought another and kinda adapted to the shape of the case and hold the phone slightly different

Posted a bad picture some days ago…didn’t do justice on how good the case was during the last 4 months of everyday usage…

Mine has now left China.

I would be hopeful of delivery next week but with Royal Mail being all over the place likely to be between Christmas and New Year but more probable first week of January

I just received my Andar Camel Tan for the 14 Pro Max today and love the feel of full grain leather and the smell. I did the water bead soak test to actually see if it’s genuine leather and it is unlike the Lonli case that I have that is packed up to be returned.

One thing, the power button is extremely stiff. I have to put in a lot of pressure to lock the phone. Does anyone else have this issue? Does it break in over time? The volume buttons are great and require just the right amount of pressure however the power button is stiff as a rock.

The best way to break them in is by removing the phone from the case and pressing the buttons inward so it can allow the leather to stretch this works an all cases included apples that some times come with stiff buttons
