Apple has (or had) a FG leather loop band.
That looks a great combo. Will have a look for that strap. Thanks.

Thanks for posting!Daily usage since 5/25. Swapped it out yesterday for a saddle brown I had laying around, new. Let’s see how this one ages. Kind of tough to grab the correct lighting.

I vote for the forest green. Although I think the saddle brown ages the best out of all of them (and all of the pictures that have been shared on here have looked amazing), I've just never been a fan of brown leather. I like brown leather shoes and boots (and even brown belts), but I'm not a fan of brown leather wallets, cases, and jackets. Even when I attended church in high school, everyone around me had brown leather bibles, but I had a blue one.It seems the most popular leather case is between the saddle brown and the Forrest green. Anyone agree? And if so, which gets your vote?
My vote is still that aubergine from last year. My ultimate favorite! It seems the most popular leather case is between the saddle brown and the Forrest green. Anyone agree? And if so, which gets your vote?

I ended up trying another off of Amazon. It doesn't creak at all. I can't wiggly the sides on the front of the case next to the display like I could the last two FG one's I bought and returned. The camera cutout isn't quite perfect, but honestly I'm fine with it since it doesn't creak and is otherwise perfect.Nope, not at all
I got mine off a seller on eBay - he bought it back in October ‘18, used it once or twice and then it sat in a box till he sold it to me a few weeks back.
So it was brand new effectively but probably one of the first original ones made.
If I could get away without a case, I definitely would. I watch a lot of unboxing videos of phones that are really nice to look at, and I keep forgetting that the iPhone is just as beautiful as these new phones; it's just that I have a stupid case on my phone. Unfortunately, not only do I have a six-year-old niece that likes to play games on my phone, but I pretty much wear gym shorts and basketball shorts whenever I'm not at work (and joggers in the winter), so my pockets are already slippery, and putting a slippery phone into those pockets is asking for disaster....100% agree with this - I really don't see what all the hype is, surrounding the Saddle Brown but I guess, it would be boring if we all liked the same colours!!!
I switched back to my Forest Green leather case yesterday on my XS - it's still a beauty.
As I was changing the case and whilst actually holding the naked iPhone XS in my hand, I just couldn't help feeling amazed at how gorgeous the naked phone looks and feels - what a shame it is to cover it up with a leather case as its just SO damn slippery without one.![]()
How did you get rid of the wax coating on the case? I’ve read on a couple of methods. I was just wondering which method you used?I ended up trying another off of Amazon. It doesn't creak at all. I ended up wiping off the wax coating and love the look and feel of this one now. The leather feels a little thicker than the Saddle Brown and Midnight Blue ones I have. About the same feel as the Product Red one when I first bought it.
My leather case obsession continues. While waiting for my bullstrap bourbon case to arrive I ordered a brown/tan Sena case and also came across this interesting looking case from saddleback leather.

While not the prettiest it is definitely the most unique leather case I’ve seen and each one is handmade. The company is based in Dallas which is a few hours away from me as I also live in Texas. This a love it or hate it type of case and I personally really like the way it looks. I emailed Dave at saddleback and am waiting for more pictures of the case on an xr before I order one.
Here’s a link showing how each case is made which takes about 4-5 hours.
No I ended up cancelling it since I already have their Sienna and Crimson case and neither have seemed to develop a patina. I’ve started using my Crimson Bullstrap case again for the past week along with a super thin layer of Smith’s leather balm and it seems to have darkened a bit. I’m waiting for Burkley’s Barlow Antique Golden Brown case to come back in stock. I really like the distressed look that case offers. Their Barlow Burnished Tan case seems to have a wax layer over it and it has not aged at all. Maybe I just need to give the cases time to age. So far, Bullstrap have been my favorite cases.Did you ever receive your Bullstrap Bourbon case? You can use the code "runnerup" on their website today to get $10 off and I was thinking of picking one up.
I’ve always felt that too. These devices are asthei

I tried that as well on my original Bullstrap sienna case and after I scuffed it up with the magic eraser I cleaned the case with a microfiber towel and noticed a slight color transfer onto my fingers and microfiber towel afterwards so I stopped using the case. Has that happened to you? I ordered another sienna Bullstrap case that should be here Tuesday if it ships today. That case I’ll probably end up leaving alone.I went the Magic Eraser way. Enough to get that off but not actually scratch the leather.

I am also curious as to how Samsung’s leather case will age.In a moment of weakness, I ordered an Apple Leather Case in cornflower! I'm waiting for it to arrive just so I can immediately return it. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm strictly a black (or really dark) accessory type of guy. My SUV is black and almost everything I wear is black. It was late at night and I thought I could use some color in my life. I guess I'll see how it looks in person, but some of the pictures (and someone on here even commented) that it sometimes looks like it's lilac in certain lighting. That is definitely too bright for me. I might exchange it for either black or midnight blue.
For my brother's birthday, I bought him a Samsung Note 10+ and the black leather case that Samsung sells. I'm very, very interested to see how their leather compares to the Apple leather.
Be careful. Magic eraser is cleaner with really fine sandpaperI went the Magic Eraser way. Enough to get that off but not actually scratch the leather.
The case isn't expected to arrive until the middle of September, but my brother's birthday isn't until the middle of September anyway, so I won't be able to "review" the case until then. There doesn't seem to be a lot of videos on YouTube either.I am also curious as to how Samsung’s leather case will age.
And congrats to your brother on his birthday and new note 10+!!!!
I understand where you’re coming from. I have so many of these leather cases and cannot for the life of me stick to just one. And I wonder why the cases aren’t developing a patina. So far, I’ve had my crimson Bullstrap case on for about two weeks and it’s definitely showing some wear and patina. But, my new Bullstrap sienna case is coming in on Tuesday and I’ll probably make the switch to that case. I'm currently back in the forest green. Hopefully I can stick with it long-term this time around so it finally develops some kind of patina that I can share in this thread.

I think I remember your pictures of the sienna case. It does look nice. Here’s a pic of what my crimson case currently looks like compared to when I first received it. I used it for about a week then took it off. Now, I’ve been consistently using it for exactly two weeks. You can see where my hands naturally lay on the phone (center).Bullstrap cases will patina over time. I've had my Sienna one for like 3 months and it has nice wear and darkening, not as drastic as Apple's patina, but still a nice look.
