Curious if anybody has tried Andar's new vintage tan yet?
It looks nice, but I can’t do their buttons. They are so sharp on the ends. I really don’t understand why leather case makers can’t make their buttons softer on the ends.

Anyone else’s Luckycoin have a fuzzy texture? Does that go away or is mine defective?

It goes away. It’s just dry. Once you start using it the oils from your hands will hydrate and soften it.

This how yours looked?

Mine was rough and dry when I got it. Likely similar to that. But I wasn’t worried I have lots of experience with leather and I knew that wouldn’t last. 3 weeks later and it’s smooth and soft. It doesn’t take long. Or as @JerryIII said just put some conditioner on it if you don’t want to wait.

What happened? Nothing!!! Just pocket used!!!
Wow... are you wearing pants made of sandpaper? No way should the leather be wearing away from just having it in your pocket.

I had a case that did that from another brand a few years back and they agreed to replace it for free. They said it was a defective batch of leather that hadn't been dyed properly. The replacement did not suffer the same issue. Might be worth reaching out to Andar to inquire about that.

Don't these brighter colors tend lose that color quickly and dull? That seems to be my experience with colors like this. Or I guess maybe it's more noticeable in the brighter colors. This how looks like the case has been dropped.

I dont think it needs to go in the bin. The case is still usable.

All leather cases will darken through use. Its no so much that its losing color, its absorbing oils that darken the leather. Its all part of the patina process that we crave.

In this specific case it does look like some sort of friction has occurred which has rubbed off the topmost layer of the leather or finish. It likely will burnish and smooth out. Over time the darkening of the leather in general will make it blend in again. Its part of the magic of leather in that it can "heal itself" over time. But to the owners point, you would not expect this to happen on an expensive brand new leather case.

I probably would not throw the case out either as I think there is still potential for good patina to develop but thats for the owner to decide.

Oh for sure, I love the patina process. I have just seen several of the brighter colors from Andar partially that bleed color off, and then take on color from jeans and other materials. That was more of what I referring to.

The scuff though, that will smooth itself out. Thats of no worry I don't think.

Can't wait for the iPhone 16s leather cases release!!! Unfortunately no news yet, despite the fact that other brands like Benks already sell them.

Crazy thing is they will all be pre order too. Last year I thought it was ridiculous they did pre orders and still some brands had cutouts for the action button.
