I am team Bullstrap. My husband is trying Ryan London which is what I would have tried if Bullstrap only had open bottom cases
Bullstrap looks great. I don’t love the way they handle the camera ring. But I know that’s just a subjective opinion.

It is. I like it as it doesn’t have the potential for chipping like metal rings. I do like the metal ring tho too. But it’ll be nice to see them both here when the companies finally catch up and ship them out. ◡̈

Well I have a black Bullstrap for a 16 Pro Max with a tiny nick at the top if anyone wants it cheap in the UK?

Not enough difference for me to warrant the upgrade so going back to my 15 Pro (plus I hate the camera button).

Really struggling to decide between Andar, Bullstrap and Ryan London. Which do people here prefer?

I know everyone has their preferences, and some people really dislike other brands. Personally, I’ve had a great experience with Bullstrap. I love the leather cover for the camera ring, the open bottom design, the Sienna color, and the leather surrounding the buttons. The CC isn’t perfect, but honestly, none of them are these days. For me, Bullstrap works really well.

That said, I do have two more cases on the way because I’m a bit of a case enthusiast! I’ve got the closed-bottom RL and the traditional leather Nomad coming. I just like having options!

Has anyone used Bullstrap’s conditioning and cleaning wipes? I tried one last night, and while the dry spots felt much more supple, the patina areas appeared almost wet and didn’t look great. I’m not a leather expert, so could this just be part of the process of cleaning off the dirt?

Ordered a Ryan London but might just have to try a Bullstrap as well.

I've found that any wet leather conditioner doesn't work well on phone cases, I guess because the leather is so thin.
You'd likely have to put on such a small amount and work it in, thats why the creams are often better as they can be applied thinner and are absorbed more evenly by the hungry leather.

I'd be interested.

Thanks, didn’t know that. Did I ruin the case, or will it go back to a nice patina?

Burned it in with a laser machine lol
😎 which laser engraver did you use? I use the Universal Laser Systems desktop laser engraver and I never done it on leather or iPhone cases before, but I got to give it a try one day. That  looks perfectly nice!👍

If you need any advice on laser engraving let me know. Make sure to use calipers to measure the thickness of the case first; you can determine it by using the calipers against the lip of the case. Carefully trace the case shape of your iPhone on a piece of paper and scale it correctly on CAD before exporting the guide as DXF.

Anyone notice the bullstraps frame is a bit thicker this year and the leather is not as soft? I compared it to my 15 pro case from last year and the difference is noticeable.

The leather on my 16PM case is definitely drier compared to my 15PM, but I figured that would change after some use. I have an unused wallet that was sent out as a replacement last year, it feels about the same. I would think skin oils from use would soften it up. The leather is thicker in the corners, but not excessive.

would you mind posting a pic? that's a bummer. i wonder if it has something to do with the camera button cutout?

Circled part is where it's noticeably thicker. I tried to capture the texture on the back too. It was smoother last year out of the box for sure.

I have a 14 Pro Max case I purchased from Bullstrap a year ago, and when comparing it to my 16 Pro case, I noticed it’s only slightly thicker. I assume this is due to the CC, but honestly, the difference isn’t noticeable to me. As for the dryness, both cases felt identical right out of the box, and it took about a week for the case to soften up.
