What you're describing sounds a lot like the Lonli Edition case. It doesn't have a metal frame around the camera, and it's closed bottom. Have one on order to try with a silver 17 pro!
have that on my phone right now -- the lip (around the front of the entire phone) is too aggressive / deep for my liking (vs. Ryan London 15 pro)

To me the open bottom

  1. is more comfortable on the pinky,
  2. makes the phone feel less tall, and
  3. provides a better swipe motion from the bottom
I agree but I hold my phone a certain way when I play the only 2 games on my phone (Pokemon go battle league and mario kart tour) and this open bottom puts a huge dent in my finger.

its always why I couldnt deal with the apple clear cases either

Any time I try an open bottom case I have the same problem and wind up switching back to a closed-bottom case within a day or so haha.

For anyone hoping for a Ryan London non metal camera ring case for the Air, this is their response when I asked them about it.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I appreciate your interest in our products. Unfortunately, we do not have plans to produce a non-metal camera surround case for the iPhone Air at this time.

Basically the same reply I got last year when I asked the same question but for the 16 Plus.

Glad I’ve got my order in with Bluebonnet.

Received the Lonli Edition case, comparing it to the Belemay case.

IMG_4329.JPG

Lonli left, Belemay right

Both refer to their colours as "Saddle Brown", though the Belemay has a more saturated colour. It has satisfying clicky buttons and a very responsive camera control button that feels solid. The leather texture is smooth, but there was a break in the leather around the camera control button. The Belemay looks very similar to the Ryan London case with the same style black metal frame.

The Lonli Edition case has a more textured surface with a lighter brown. The buttons feel a bit nicer than the Belemay, but the big miss here is camera control. It wiggles in place. It's functional, but it doesn't feel nice to use and does not match the quality of the other buttons. The camera plateau has a leather bump out frame which I do prefer, but the cases inner felt material kind of pokes through as a soft fuzz around the opening in a few spots.

I think my preference for the case colour is closer to the Belemay with it's redish brown hue that looks closer to the Ryan London saddle brown, Luckycoin brown, and Bullstrap Sienne. For now I'm still looking for the right case, but the Belemay is very close, I just wish mine didn't have a defect!

Interesting. My black Lonli Edition has leather texture more similar to the Bellamy you posted on the right (I posted pics earlier in this thread). I guess it’s just variation in the leathers used. My camera control button seems ok. I rarely use it though. The bottom of the case has a little play which could be improved on. For now I’m sticking with it.

Does anyone have the Cosmic Orange with the Nomad Traditional Leather in Rustic Brown (Horween)? I’d like to see if it’s a good combo or not.

Yeah, that's a bummer. Aside from Bullstrap/LuckyCoin's covered plateau design, I think Bluebonnet is the only brand doing the leather wrapped plateau.
Lonli Edition is a leather wrapped (fully open) plateau.

It’s pretty nice, but I’m returning because it feels pretty thick/bulky (more so than the tech woven, which is already thicker feeling than I’d like). I’m really hoping Blue Bonnet is thinner and with less of a screen lip. I don’t really want much lip since I don’t mind breaking screen protectors for a slimmer case.

It may just be the slightly extra chunkyness of the 17 Pro… and I may be feeling this way about all leather cases. I may just go caseless and do my best never to drop the thing… and/or learn to live with/love the inevitable dents/scratches, and knicks 🤪 wabi sabi may be the way in this new aluminum unibody era

I have a Belemay ("Bourbon Brown") and a Mujjo ("Tan") case arriving this week. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the massive Mujjo branding, although it does look less pronounced in the review photos.

I know everyone is all about the patina, but I'm mostly looking for a case that snaps on securely (all 4 corners), protects my phone from drops, and doesn't feel slippery or greasy.

Rocking the tech woven while waiting for my leather cases and I gotta say, it’s pretty damn good. The grip is solid and it fits very low profile. Doesn’t make the phone feel bulky.

Got the Lucky Coin in the mail today. Cutouts for the LIDAR and flash aren’t perfect and barely smelled like leather, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

Buttons are clicky and the Camera Button works really well though. Can’t complain too much since I paid $30 with shipping. Much better than spending more for the similar Bullstrap.
