To be fair I bought it from eBay but sold as genuine and its build quality is equal to what I would expect, also came in a genuine box.
When Apple stores are open again I will go compare.

Its definitely fake dude. I wish you didnt give more than 10 euro.
From time to time, I stray to other cases, example, the UAG Olive one, with the orange accent.

Ive just ordered one from Apple, it was bugging me that the leather wasn’t right. I can be fickle.
Most of "genuine apple cases" from eBay are fake and only difference is leather. Fake cases are build from PU leather that doesn't age as natural leather ant they are very slippery even after month of usage. Fake are thinner and you can feel that when compare side by side with genuine case.
I think thats what it is just the leather. In the past I have always just gone to an Apple store to get my case but this time round the shipping was 7 days and the eBay one was a couple of days. Since I wanted to protect the phone straight away i did the quick option. Regrettably.
No it was about £20, I’ve had enough use of it. Chalk it up to experience. Always come in handy as a spare.
There's no shame in buying a fake Apple leather case. I tend to have a good eye to sniff out fake stuff and even I was bamboozled lol.
They make them almost exact replicas now except the LEATHER is the key difference. PU leather wears much different and reacts different to certain situations.
I've been burned before off Amazon/eBay so now I just swallow the $50 hit and just buy it from Apple or a big retailer in person like Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.

Hi guys, this thread made me buy a saddle brown leather case for my iPhone 11 Pro.
Bought it on ebay from what seemed to me a reliable seller. It was described to be genuine and was $40.
Can you tell from these pictures if it is in fact genuine?
Underneath the little dent (dent was my fault) on the right side looks like artificial leather to me . What do you think?
Had the case for a week now, so can't really tell if it will develop like real leather.

Looking at the grain in the leather I would say its the same as mine and unfortunately. I have come to the conclusion mine is fake. I have a genuine one arriving this week so will be able to do comparison shots.
I wont be making that mistake again.
Case just arrived. The leather quality and the feel was immediately obviously different. I’m happy now.
The Apple logo is also better defined on the genuine article.

Target, Best Buy will save you $10 I got mine on amazon for $34.00 and it’s definitely genuine
