Hmmm, I imagine it might be the slightest bit darker after 2 weeks but I doubt we’ll see a large difference until maybe 2+ months. That’s just a guess on my part though.
Did something pretty stupid this morning. Put my phone on the kitchen counter and didn’t realize there was water on there.
Dried it as soon as I saw this and tried to put it out in the sun for a few hours.
I don’t think it’s bad enough to ask for a replacement but it’ll bug me for a while. Hopefully it’ll grow on me or continue to go away. Just got this case too, stupid me damn.
Do you guys have any tips for this or is it not even worth the effort to try to fix this?

Bummer, it looks like it soaked up a lot of water. Honestly now that it’s dried it doesn’t look so bad. I think if the case starts to darken over time at all it should just blend in🤷🏼♂️
Found this old pic of my iPhone 7 Plus with a Storm Gray Leather case. I wish Apple would
bring this color back. In my opinion I think it would look great with the Space Gray models

It's really not that noticeable. I wouldn't do anything to it. It'll blend in with continued use.
Totally agree with the SG combo. I was really hoping they would release additional leather colors this spring to include this.
Man that picture makes me realize how good looking the 7/8 Plus gen was with a leather case on it too.
Only 3 color choices for the new SE. Black, m blue, and p red. Shocked no saddle brown.
Guess it’s good they even have leather options at all though, given that’s not the case for the XR and 11 models.
The phone is essentially the same size as the 8. If you can find an old saddle brown I don’t see why it wouldn’t work
btw I find It stupid how Apple now makes a leather case for their entry level $400 phone. But my $800 iPhone 11 doesn’t.

Plenty of genuine brand new iPhone 8 saddle brown cases on eBay, and a lot cheaper than from Apple.
I ordered a storm grey one for the up-coming SE and have it in hand, going to look great!
Love the way this case is ageing. Cannot wait for my saddle brown leather loop to age the same way as well.
Thanks! I still like. It’s very different from all the other cases I have and it has a nice feel to it. Sort of grippy, but not overly to where it almost feels slimey like my saddle brown case does. It’s held up well to some minor drops inside the house.
I miss my Product Red I just can’t get myself to buy one since I have a Midnight Green iPhone I don’t imagine that camera cut out will look good with red

Looks great, but they still don’t age nearly as good as previous years
It makes me wonder if it’s leather at all. My red leather case is just turning black at this point. It looks like a cheap faux leather once the dye has rubbed off.I’m disappointed with my new case. Had it since February and its showing no signs of ageing like the one i had on my iPhone X

At this point, I may switch to a “higher end” leather case like a Vaja.
