😂 Will do, Thanks! Didn’t know people could cheat that.
Looking at your pic makes me want to order a new saddle brown and start the entire waiting/patina process over from scratch.

And yes, there are ways to cheat/speed it up. I did it and practically destroyed my saddle brown case. Some like it and some don’t. I think it doesn’t look as good as a naturally aged saddle brown case.

I did the same with mine last year. Made it all sticky and horrible. Best just let it age naturally over time.

Ok got chu. I will do it naturally and I wouldn’t know how to speed it up. It will just be in and out of my front pocket or in my hand when using it or sitting it on my car seat or table, couch etc.

Hey get it!! I’m getting the red next. I try to use cases a month each because I like switching up, but at least with a month I get my money’s worth of using. Lol

My red leather case is aging nicely. But, I’m still drawn to that damn saddle brown. Lol!

The saddle brown is saying you didn’t treat it right. Geeeeet it (In Homer Simpson’s low grumbling voice)

Yeah I got a replacement black leather from Apple and I haven't sprayed or wiped anything on it since I've had it. Love it much much more than artificially aging it. :)

Black doesn't really age though, been using mine for 2 months and it's the same now as day 1.

Nah it definitely does, it's just very subtle. In feel, it gets much softer and more "plush" and "sticky" and the color gets a bit darker than when it was new.

When I used wipes and conditioners, etc--it gave the black leather case a different hue. It had almost a green/blue-ish hue to the black and it felt kind of gross.

After that, I vowed to never clean, age, condition, etc an Apple leather case.

All natural patina from daily use since launch day.

50 days of straight usage and the corners and edges are starting to turn black. Does anyone know if the leather cases have a dye applied?

Ordered a Bullstrap case since they finally got restocked with iPhone 11 Sienna cases.

Will be sticking with this for as long as I have this phone. Hopefully I remember to post patina pictures later.

Great case. I had their sienna and crimson cases for my xr, but I didn’t have the phone long enough to get a good patina.

Nice! My warranty replacement just came. I hate the break in period, so slippery and looks too new. I keep wanting to go back to my nomad because it's nice and broken in😂

That’s fair. Mine does look kind of pale but I personally still enjoy the look of it overall. Especially the texture on these Bullstrap cases.

My new bullstrap def seems more pale than my previous one, kind of annoying how slippery it is. Hopefully it breaks in nice

Ive had this new one for about a day and quite a bit of slipperiness has gone away in that time period. I’d say a good 30-40% of the initial slipperiness. There was an almost unapparent, initial coating of powder or something right out of the box that rubbed off after a few hours.

I think they might use a light wax coating or something to protect the leather. Eventually it wears off leading to patina?
