So the actor should look nothing like Jobs.... My vote is for Arnie!

Has to be Bale.
Not only he kind of looks the part but he's proven that he can go ballistic, just like you can imagine Jobs would.

"It's **** distracting having a second button on the **** mouse? Give me a **** answer! What don't you get about it?"
"Seriously, you and me man, we're **** done professionally.”

Yes, because the last one starred Ashton Kutcher...

Aaron Sorkin is an amazing writer and I'm excited to see what he's done with this script. If he can make a movie about Facebook interesting, then he can certainly do the Jobs story correctly.

Amazing writer maybe however we all know the script already.

Surprised by all of the DiCaprio hate. He is one of the better actors out there.

...reminds me of tom cruise hate. Their personal life may be strange, but they are great actors and have great roles.

Yes they are both great actors. Top Gun and The Departed are two of my favorite movies.

I just don't like Leo's stance on global climate crisis. He tells us to change yet he has how many cars? A yacht. A mansion. And all the other toys... IF you want to preach at least set an example. I like that he stood in front and spoke to the members that it's a human and not political thing to do. But don't be another Al Gore.

Neither of these assssessss will ever get a nickel of my money. Poster children for what is wrong with Hollywood.

Used to be actors acted. Nowadays they think they ARE smart people because they PLAY smart people. Actors demanding to be heard because they are..actors? What?

Leo gets a ton of hate, not sure why. Maybe because people get enjoyment out of seeing someone who's good at their job not get acknowledged for it? *shrugs*

He doesn't particularly fit the look for the part, no, but he would have done a phenomenal job. Hope they find someone comparable. (And not MM, please.)

He's also donated millions, which arguably does more than downsizing ever would.

when you go to a restaurant, do you care what personality type the chef is?
i'm sorry, but leo and tom's work (in general) is not what's wrong with hollywood. the only thing that's ever been or ever will be: bad movies and bad acting.

The Leo hate IMO has a pretty disturbing subtext. Closeted gay = hateful. I think he's very talented.

I'd love to see Tom Cruise as Jobs. His work in Magnolia was perfect for the role.

Yeah sure... the last movie about Jobs was enough as a tribute to Jobs life. Right?

NO!!!

There's much more you can do with Jobs in a movie. More than a silly walk or look-a-likes. So whats next? Stop making rap songs because we already have P-Diddy?

Bale is my favorite. Love DiCaprio's work but I'ts not the man for this Job.

DiCaprio is a good actor but he's often miscast. This happens when studios are casting you for your box office clout. I like all of his work pre Titanic and VERY little of his work from Titanic onward (if I am screaming at the screen for you to drown by the end, you pretty much failed). Inception, Departed, Gatsby, and Django (flawed film, but he was good in it) are pretty much the only exceptions.

Thank GOD he won't be playing jobs. Christian Bale, who's also a MUCH more capable/versatile actor, or a mega talented unknown would be my choices hands down.

Having very well known personalities playing other iconic personalities - especially those recently deceased - is very tricky. Cruise for example has an intensity that Jobs had, but he looks nothing like him and he is too famous. For that reason, imo, unknowns are the way to go.

Jobs is iconic, the movie will be a big deal with major talent involved, you don't need a huge star to carry it.

Boyle? Danny?! Oh *****! I pissed my pants. The best non-authorish director in the movie industry since camera obscura is going to direct movie about Apple? That's my wet dream.

NOT Bale.

I understand that many of you love Bale as Batman but he's definitely not a right choice for Jobs. In other words. He is a good actor only when the character suits him: Velvet Goldmine, American Psycho, The Machinist, Batman, Fighter. Only when the character has some inner issues and he's much more mentaly unstable than ordinary characters. Jobs had some issues but he was not desperate persona and that's what Bale do best. DiCaprio could play that part but still. We don't know how the concept of this movie looks like. This is only academic. It might be Jonah Hill:)

Yes, I agree with Bale.
I agree to with "We need a GOOD one this time".
Even if Ashton Kutcher was very similar to Jobs.

Anyway, why they can't search for him to realize the new movie: ???

He's annoying and a hypocrite (e.g. talking about climate change and all the problems at the UN then having all his houses and renting that big honking yaught). Truly a pig in our Animal Farm.
