What a bummer. So near and yet so far. Wow. What a stickler for rules.![]()
Wow - did you say anything to the Fedex guy when he took it back?

I'd say that was a fatal error on your part. You would have gotten it on Friday if you had just been patient. Apple expedites all first new OS X orders no matter how you say to ship it. It's highly unlikely you will get it from Amazon on Friday.Sorry.
I think you still have time to cancel the Amazon order and replace your Apple order - I would do it by phone right now 1.800.MY.APPLE if I were you.
So looking forward to Leopard, but my order just says "Shipping by 26th October"However, i've just checked my status now and the UK store is closed for updates.... Please please let this be a blanket update of everyones delivery status!!! I know, i'm clutching at straws

Don't you own a gun?![]()

Mine's been shipped....24th(today)
Sadly I'm not home until 10:30 this eve so will it be put in my mailbox
or do I have to sign for it in person?
Podgy in Japan
Well if it's been shipped today you don't have to worry about it coming today or tonight(It will take at least a day). And yes you will have to sign for it unless you fill out the signature form before hand from Apple.
What signature form is that and is it too late to sign it?
UPDATE: Tuesday @ 7:46 PM
Sorry for the lack of updates earlier today...
Leopard is definitely on it's way!

Departed FedEx location
SACRAMENTO, CA

Arrived at Destination FedEx location
SALT LAKE CITY, UT
It probable won't ship from California. I live in RI and all of my Apple stuff (except for BTO computers, those ship from China) gets shipped from NH and arrives in 1-2 days.I ordered first day and since I live in New Hampshire...I would think the distance rule from California would apply if distance determined how shipments are being sent.
Prepared for shipment is still my status.
It is probably whatever pallet happens to get loaded on the FedEx truck.
Either case, it will get here by Friday and that is all I care about.
