In the clock app (world clock and alarm), "12:00 AM" should be "12:00 AM (Midnight)" and "12:00 PM" should be "12:00 PM (Noon)"

How about having the build-in calendar actually show you which week it is?

I hate having a seperate app for this. It's just so trivial, yet vital. Everything is scheduled on weeknumbers, it drives me crazy not having it.

Slide out Keyboards

I'm getting sick of all of the companies making slide out keyboard phones wrong. This is what i photoshopped into my dream iphone. I want a slide out keyboard phone with an iphone interface.
Original metal shell casing.

Right shift key can be made into the space bar

MMS enabled
Landscape Text Viewing
3G or newer (duh)
And all typical iphone standards.

MobileFinder, straight from Appstore?

adding a "Text Message" option for when you're touching and holding a phone number instead of just the "Call" or "Cancel" option

Looks PRETTY PRETTY cool!!

I'm sure someone has posted this already, but when a text message comes in while the phone is locked, then you press the button on the top of the phone to wake the phone, you can read the text message. You would think this would mark the message as read, but it does not. You're required to actually unlock the phone and navigate to the message for the phone to mark it as read. This isn't a huge issue, just a little quirk. It wouldn't be a problem except the phone continues to vibrate every so often to remind you of an unread message, so occasionally I get reminded of texts that I've already read through this method. Not high on the priority list at all, but seems like an easy fix....then again so does landscape email and texting ;)

Here is my wishlist

-Copy & Paste
-Video Camera
-MMS
-Push Notification
-Remote sync with iTunes (wireless)
-iTunes Music Store in Singapore (please!)
-Add words to auto-correct dictionary

there really should be a feature that allows you to play music as an alarm instead of just ringtones

*tip* for those of you that want pdfs on ure iphone/ipod touch, email the pdf to yourself.
It caches everything up to x msgs for each folder/tag in your inbox. I use gmail and just star it

my most wanted/craved functionality:
Obviously copy & paste
wireless sync? why not? some app store apps can wirelessly sync eg. youNote
ability to EDIT word/excel docs? There arent even any in the app store yet ahh! been waiting forever: http://www.macworld.com/article/133967/2008/06/marinercalciphone.html but nobody's beaten them to the punch.

I agree: Add words to auto-correct dictionary (like predictive txt t9, its not hard) or at least don't *auto* auto correct. I shouldnt have to click the x, sometimes I miss and then it auto corrects.

Calendar - It is still not possible to sync with iCal on the local computer if syncing with an Exchange server is enabled. I want to be able to sync my private calendar events as well as my work events (Exchange), not just either one or the other. And no, I don't want to pay $100 for MobileMe just for that. While MobileMe is cool, I don't need most of the features it offers. I just want to synch iCal in conjunction with Exchange.
Contacts - Same comment as for Calendar. I want to be able to sync my work contacts via Exchange as well as my Address Book contacts from my Mac.
Home Screen Page Limit - Why is the number of pages on the home screen limited to 9 pages? I already have more apps that can currently fit. i.e. I can't access all of them.
Hierarchical view for apps - Even if the 9-page limit were lifted, the whole thing would still be messy. We need a way to organize apps. Perhaps via iTunes, similar to using playlists and smart playlistst. Something, please!
The current view was fine when there weren't any 3rd party apps, but now it needs something better.
WiFi syncing - I can live without this one, but it would be great if the device started syncing with iTunes as soon as I walked in the door or as soon as contents in the iTunes library change. This wouldn't be anything new. AppleTV is synced that way.

I don't know if it was already mentioned but, here is an idea;

I have a lot of home screens, right now 8, and it would be really great if the wrapped around! So if you kept scrolling and got to the end, it would bring you to the first. Just a thought.

You do know that with 2.2 you can press the home button and go to the first home screen.

Hope that helps

I want an option to disable Edge/Gprs. My phone keeps switching from full bars of 3G to full bars of Edge without any reason. We can enable/disable 3G, why not Edge?

Edge is.. slow to say the least. It's like having a broadband connection that suddently switches to dial-up whenever it feels like.

Why the hell do you post this here?

In order of importance:

1. Ability to edit Word/Excel files on the go
2. Ability to email files, and download email from files
3. To Do sync
4. Notes sync

That's it. Every other limitation I can live with. Actually, I can live without #3 & 4, but #1 & 2 are a basic, needed function of the iPhone.
