I also just did a clean install and have just patched up to 10.6.8.

Looking forward to the upgrade, although I'll be a little hesitant to do the usual aesthetic mods I usually do (e.g., traffic lights, swapped menu bar icons, etc) until things settle.

I'm hoping it's midnight PST.

I'm thinking that during the wait for Lion, I'm going to cook something hearty and nutritious. I'm trying to lose a few pounds so I'm doing the Paula Deen diet. Any recommendations?

Man, I'd buy Ferrret in an instant. Someone voted iRobby's post down, what is wrong with you people?

That sounds great. I'm going to blaze a few and watch some Game of Thrones while I wait. Will only be up until 2am.

Can't wait to get my hands on Guinea Pig! I've heard some people complaining about random grunting while using it alot, but I'm not worried about it.

Finally! Lion had started to be an impossible love for us :)

Lion may be the ideal kitty kat for those newbies out there. They won't know any better. The "gee whiz" eye candy will thrill them.

Conversely, we have the exemplary performance, power and productivity enhancing SL 10.6.5.

Happily, it has no apps store, no time wasting 99 cent impulse buy fart apps, no sex position apps, no pandering to your Visa Card. Just 100% Real Mac Computer Operating System.

Speed, functionality, stability, and refinement. This in combination with my 2010 15" fully loaded core i7, 8GB, SSD equipped MBP, already Roars with great authority.

It's distinct lack of whimsical iToys aura, is ever so satisfying. A stellar example of Apple's ability to deliver a professionals machine of choice.

Semi interesting facts while you wait:

The Germans call the Guinea Pig a 'meerschweinschen' which I believe means sea pig. Dunno why.

Whereas the French call it a 'cochon d'indes' or 'pig of the indies'. Due to where they come from.

I did say semi interesting.

I'm looking forward to Apple's XI series of operating systems.

I hear that the 11.1 release will be called Mac OS XI Spoon Worm.

Dont forget the lack of the latest security patches.
