Hey Add me to the list,
I will buy if they have the touch pad, LED lighting, SSD option and a graphics card update.
Well the 15" already has LED and a touch pad, so I guess that's halfway there

I was waiting really really bad for a new macbook pro at macworld and it didn't come. I needed one too bad so I picked up the cheapest macbook. I felt that if I went cheap and a new macbook pro came out a month or so later it wouldn't be that big of a hit. The current macbook pro line is just too old looking. Blahh.
If you are talking about the actual appereance of the MBP, then I'm not sure that this update refresh is going to be what you are looking for in terms of a redesign or a different design. Although it's not impossible, the logic would seem that they wouldn't create an entire case redesign on this update, since it will most likely be just the processor change, and a possible change in the GPU, and maybe some new BTO options to come with the unit.
Am I the only one that really likes the current design and sees no reason for a redesign?
No, and I suspect we're in the majority. Even multi-touch doesn't strike me as an absolutely necessary addition, though the keynote remark suggests it's on its way.

This article in Computerworld makes reference to the delay on the Penryn chips, which are now not expected to ship in large quantities until the end of February. It also suggests that some MBA form factors may find their way to the MBP. This makes sense: MBP is Apple's top of the line laptop. It should be expected to have not only their best internal technology but also their best keyboard, iSight, touchpad, etc.
I just need to readjust my time frame to end of Feb. ship date with maybe an early or mid Feb. announcement. OK, so another 5 weeks... At least all the press seems to agree that the update is indeed imminent, if not overdue!
Note: 16,5% increased battery time in this test. (from a 2,6Ghz MBP)
