List: MR Members Waiting To Buy A New MacBook Pro

Although the new iMacs have the black and aluminum contrast, the Macbook doesn't, the ipod classics don't, the ipod nanos don't, (The ipod classic and nano have white and color contrast, but that's different) the mac mini doesn't, and the MacPro doesn't! I hope and pray that the MBP doesn't go to a black edged screen like the iMac or I'm going to freak out! I HATE the look of the new iMacs! They are SO UGLY!

I did say that those ipods are cheaper and differently designed due to the short cycles nature of the product and mac mac mini well that one i have nor thought about. But it seems to be abandoned anyway. Also note how even those iPod have way more curves than the previous ten especially nano and even classic has one of its model in black. Mb is not a concern as its due for some redesign as well

And when I say black and white contrast I don't necceassarilly mean using black coloured al but sth like black keyboard and silver casing. And I don't mean major change either changes in the edges and etc so that it gives totally different impression over previous one and I don't think design change will neccessiate some sort of keynote since MBA announcement showed the direction they are going in terms of design and function

Count me on one. I hope Apple upgrades the system memory to allow it to accept at least 10gb instead of the limiting 4gb now. I want a 17" matte screen HD high resolution. I want it to have SSD HD capability rather than a spin and seek HD. I want firewire, wired and wireless ethernet. I want the optical drive to be HD blueray recording. I don't care how much it costs.

It's a sweet torcher waking up everyday and hoping n praying this would be the D-day = Some elevator snaps / some inventory leaks / some unlucky Apple employee with a big mouth telling us all - Yes, It's here... the new MBP is here !!
My B'day is on Feb 20... and here we go again.. news and rumors trickling in ... the new MBP... Let's hope I end up a happy man on(or Before !!) 20th

Want it, need it, gotta have it.

In some places there is haranguing going on about Apple geeks who find each successive iteration of a product a 'must have.' Well, I had my PB G4 800 running 24/7 for four years or so, thought to replace it with each successive version, but loved that PB. It finally died the final death about 8 months ago. Just in time to be replaced by the first LED 15" MBP. But with shipping delays, by the time my order was being fulfilled, I was off to places where a laptop would get little use. So I took the opportunity to cancel the order (after all, the store had my money and was willing) and wait for the next generation, knowing the Penryn was coming - seemed a worthwhile wait. I expect this machine to last, and last, and last, just like the last. Must have... yes. Because it is the newest and coolest? Probably. Because I need a new machine? Definitely. I would say I lucked out in the need v. available version timing lottery. Put me down for a yes.

On the list of "come-on Steve, the time is right" I note Blu-Ray.
