I feel your pain! My wall is in 11 days... /pray

As someone posted over in the AppleInsider thread about dwindling MBP supplies:

Amazon has rebates on current MBP's that in order to qualify, a purchase must be made by Monday February 18.

Interesting.

I think we'll know by Monday. I'm hoping its this Tuesday.

Is it normal for Apple to let its retail channels run dry for over 2 weeks (as would happen if the release were on the 26th instead of the 19th)? Certainly wouldn't be my 1st choice...

You guys do realize that amazon probably doesn't know more than us, and that they could be speculating for a release just like the very first best buy SKUs released. I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be nice for a release this Tuesday.

Wait! Are you telling me that nozamA isn't Omnipotent??? I hope for this tuesday but pray its next tuesday at the latest!

Its crazy that this thread alone represents over 330K in sales of new Macbook Pros. Comeon Apple just release this baby and you will get all this money in the bank!

Well, best of luck to all those here on this thread; I'm off to Germany at 4am to start my work placement and I probably won't be able to get on here much over the next two weeks, so I happily hand over pseudo-thread starter titles to Elektroakoustik and Stridder44, should any questions, or the urge to update the list, arise :)

Until then, here's to hoping for the new MBP!

I think a revision of the MBP SOON is all but assured - Apple wouldn't want to continue letting the MBP trail the Air in terms of features - it makes absolutely no sense.

It makes perfect sense from a brand marketing point of view.

Apple will want to keep the MBA unique in certain areas for the first 6 to 9 months to push sales towards it.

I doubt you will see multitouch trackpad on a speed bump MacBook Pro.

You will see it in a redesign but I personally think this is a ways off: current MacBook Pros are selling very well for Apple.

Just my meek and humble opinion.

O.K. Boys and girls, let's let the message sink in a little bit and contemplate other real world pressures. The fact is that based on the success and productivity of Mac in general and Macbook Pros in particular, several small busineses/consulting outfits (in our area anyway) have been shopping new hardware and are prepared to make the jump to Mac. Not that anyone at Apple cares, but the time is prime for release... at least to beat the rollout of Lenovo's new 13" X300. I know very few in this thread care that much about corporate transitions, but there is a very real risk that anyone waiting to make the jump would be thrown off the scent and stuck back with what half their workforce would be 'more comfortable with.' Thus, complacency triumphs unless Apple's business machines are on the street with the goods. It has been a long wait.
Let us pray.

Rollo

Your meek and humble opinion that you never seem to get sick of offering in these threads.

Charge!

If the MBP's arn't released on this Tuesday, I will personally lead a charge of angry Mac users through the Gates of Hell straight to Steve Job's front door demanding our refreshed MBP's! WHO'S WITH ME!;)

Or I could just chill with the foot of snow we just got...
