you forgot the speakers. Also, i have a pretty good feeling, at least i hope, that apple will come out with a whole new design for their laptop. something we have never seen before.

I don't think that using a big touchpad would be difficult. You can setup it with your preferences...
its the new mbp with the ati hd 3800m with a magnetic latch!!! But it is probally just normal site maintenance. I hope it is gonna happen on the 15 or end of july. So i have time to get used to the os before i start my second year at the university. I have been with out a comp since mid may with only my iphone acting as one and its been doing quite well execpt for the small screen... I have been wanting to switch to mac ever since ive tried my friends mac at the university.
Omg that took forever to type on my iPhone damn I need a computer.

The black chicklet keys just stick out too much. Not a good idea IMO...but what do I know. I love the current gen keyboard.

omg im going crazy, i got back from bestbuy today, after being with the macbook pros at the store it helped me a little
my dad saw some little kid touching the macbook and like looking at it like its AWESOME, so my dad made fun of him a little by touching the macbook in a loving motion LOL

I decided that i would try and make my own version of what i think the new pro will look like. I thought a gun metal black, with the new iMac black outline look would work nicely. Also the Air's keyboard and track pad.
I know some people like that look.. but imo the keyboard makes it look fugly..

The only problem i see is that the DVD Drive is at the front.
i like it better on the side like the MacBook.
Have you seen a MacBook Pro? The drive can't be on the side, there are other ports there (USB, ExpressCard, audio, MagSafe etc). That's why it's at the front.
PS that MacBook Pro mockup above looks left-handed

I haven't been here in a while... But I see now that everyone is... still waiting. Just another week, right? Tuesday probably. If not then, no more than 3 weeks away. By late August for sure. Guaranteed to be here by Christmas. Christmas 2010. Probably.
I'm not going to be mean, but Montevina is being released July 14th. There WILL be an update for it, and according to previous intel releases, they have updated it 1-2 months after. It's not like we're hoping for an update, we know it's coming and we have a time frame.
Can't wait...
Some of those mock-ups are great! I agree on the keyboard and trackpad, that's what they will do. Apple is predictable and they like uniformity among products. I can't wait to have multi-touch on my laptop, just like my iPhone. I have a MB now, but as my projects get bigger, I feel like it's getting overwhelmed. I'll admit though, my MB has handled like a champ, even though the Apple store said it wouldn't handle what I do. I also use it as a desktop with an ext. HD 24" monitor, keyboard and mouse, great setup! Can't decide between a 15" or a 17" though. If they add new physical features with all the benefits of Montevina, I'll be getting one of the two for sure. Any thoughts on which size to get? I carry it alot (hence liking my MB's weight and size), but when I use it, I'm running visually-intensive stuff and could use a bigger, hi-res screen when I'm not at home.....decision, decisions.
