Best iPod event ever!

Can't believe I'm getting EXACTLY what I wanted from the iPod Touch! :D:D:D

Wow such a shame they crippled the nano to get people to buy the expensive Ipod Touch.

I'll consider it but I will most likely keep the 5th gen nano.

Here's a thought: What if Apple could allow the new AppleTV to not only watch OnDemand content via streaming, but also allow LIVE content (sporting events, concerts) to be streamed to it?

About QT X for windows: They would have to do it if they want to allow streaming through iTunes.

licensing

the media companies pay a lot of money to MLB, NFL and others to broadcast their sports events

I think the AppleTV needs multiple configurations like the computers.
Some people will want more options and local storage (I usually much prefer 2.99 purchase than .99 rental) and I don't want everything streamed even if it's from within my own network. I see how this is great for a lot of people, but really my option is being left with a MacMini media center.

Apple still seems to be oblivious to the fact their competition is red box, not super high prices cable/satellite VoD. $1.50 for Blu-Ray or $5 for iTunes. Apple us no reason whatsoever to switch from physical media.

can i stream anything to the apple tv? or does it have to be stupid mp4 format

Its Apple. You do it they way they prefer or you don't do it on their hardware.

OK it's really hard to follow the stream now, it's interrupting with black every 1-2 seconds.

I lol'ed when I saw a fanboyish comment praising html5 here
