I know right! You were probably expecting the one to two month, no?? I can't stand all the new trolls who joined MacRumors just to bash Apple.
Pretty impressed by the addition of facetime and hdmi out, but underwhelmed by the rest.
Not a big fan of the new design. Looks even more like a giant ipod touch then ever before. And not a fan of the new speaker grill.
Was thinking of getting my very first ipad, but I might just wait for the iPad 3 next year.

I laughed so hard at this. 10 years later, I guess people can shut up lol. Turns out it sort of worked for them.
So this is APPLE'S summary of the iPad 2:
"So iPad 2 -- amazing product.
Faster, lighter, thinner.
Cameras and gyro.
iOS 4.3 and FaceTime.

3G on AT&T and Verizon.

Only the first 2 have anything to do with the iPad hardware that has actually changed.

You do realize there are 5 different things in your first two lines right? Not to mention the fact "faster" includes upgrades to both the CPU and GPU.
At home sure, but if you want to take on a trip, there is the storage is key.
Just don't see why not increase the storage.
Pretty much. lagging behind in technology again. lower resolution screen to Xoom, back camera only does video while Xoom is 5 MP. Very sad. Not one little adjustment to the display. Ridiculous.
Sony's New PSP will have quad core arm CPU And GPU. As powerful as the ps3 on a portable device. Hardly old crappy tech with no horsepower

This kind of device isn't aimed at you. You've got a $3000 imac on your desk. This is for my buddy that works the over night shift and has free time while his patients are sleeping. He fires up his ipad and he can edit his music that he laid down earlier. Or just play around with some melodies. Or a teenager that's learning how to play guitar make music. Or, more likely, the guy that can't afford a $2000+ machine to lay down some tracks.
Yeah, especially creative work ... when do you think most musicians get their start practice and training? Free time for teenagers allows them to spend thousands of hours pissing around with guitars and drums.
you misunderstood me i'm not a troll and i love apple i just expected the ios 4.3 update to come out today. i love apple and all of their products and i did not join macrumors to hate on anyone. if you feel that way then ok, i don't care. you on the other hand have no idea what it's like to wait 3 months for a freaking software update.
I hope this changes. I wanted to pre-order and be done with it. There are no questions about me getting it, but I don't want to wait in line. Whether virtual or real!
