Can't believe they start the 13" pro with only a dual core CPU, crap.

Mac Pro.. 30mb of cache!! holy hell!!! 12GB of VRAM! That's more than the entire system ram of the Playstation 4 and Xbox One!

External expansion.... here comes the flood of outcries.....

And hang on.. I thought you needed HDMI 2,0 for 4K video? How is this Mac Pro going to do it with HDMI 1.4?

Hmmm that starting config is a bit low for $2999 but it's to be expected I guess. But I think it's safe to say $3999 plus for a decent six core spec.

3000 for a base MP. Thats laughable, HP was putting out 16 core water-cooled machines back in 2011 for that price.

YIKES

$3,000.00 made in US.

Can i get the $1,900.00 version made in China?:(

Was planing to upgrade but not now.
That price seems like Apple is out of touch with the consumer.

Finally new macbook pros are out...

and mavericks will be free? where is the catch?

3k for a Mac. No thanks, that is insane. but wait you're not paying anything for Mavericks...

Umm… People who buy Mac Pros are completely fine with this pricing. I paid $5600 for my last Mac Pro. This pricing is really good. These machines are built to last for many years compared to PC counterparts. If you try to buy a Mac Pro from 2008, it'll still cost over $1500.

Lunch ain't free, folks.

Seriously, how many people itching for that beast Mac Pro are just going to use it for email and Pages docs? Its an industry & production tier machine. Most people will be using it for commercial purposes, and generally that userbase can afford a $3,000 business expense to get their hands on that kind of hardware. That's not a bad price.

ps4 and xbox1 = $500 max....

Kind of odd that they are releasing this fancy new Mac Pro with no matching 4K Thunderbolt Displays with USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 2.0 ports.
