I think the MacPro pricing is pretty excellent. Someone in another thread said something like "Absolutely the only way they'll hit $3K is for a single GPU with 512MB and 32GB SSD", but that price is actually a 3.7 Quad, 256GB SSD, Dual D300s with 2GB each.

Really interested is seeing how developers leverage the GPUs for processing outside of graphic related chores.

oh ffs go into more detail on iWorks !

need to know if I can change the vertical margins in Pages on iOS and iCloud

HDMI 1.4 can handle 4K up to 30fps I believe. HDMI 2.0 can handle higher fps.

Yes but any consumer device has to have version 2.0 for 4k. And from my understanding so did your computer. It's still daft because if version 2.0 is available now, why are they not fitting it when the computer can have all the other very high spec bits of hardware? Perhaps Mavericks can't work with HDMI 2.0?

$3K isn't bad at all. I paid $2400 ($6K in today's dollars) for the original IBM PC, 16KB RAM and _no_ storage (BYO cassette tape player).

yesh but $3k in this day and age is alot for a shiny black bin. what with masssive bills, tax etc... only the super rich can afford a mac that costs as much as my car then!

This has got to be the worst presentation ever given by Apple. It just screems phony. What a let down.

Where have you been for the last 30 years? Computer prices fell down significantly since then.

Can people stop with the "Tim Cook is not Steve Jobs", "Tim sounds scripted", "Tim is not a good presenter", "Tim needs coaching".... bullcrap please?

More discussion on the products and less on Tim. ;)
