Oculus Rift comes with a demo app called toybox. A table full of toys, sling shots, ray guns, remote control tanks, fireworks, etc. That was amazing in an immersive 3D world.

Looking at images of AR toys on the 6" screen doesn't sound all that interesting.
 
Lego: "creating exciting play possibilities".. ARKit will sell lego kits. So unless you can sell a tangible product, there is no tangible revenue stream for creating an ARKit app.

Funny how they bring in another "brick and mortar" (literally) company to push ARKit. This is a "what were they thinking" moment.
