I have a sneaking suspicion that this will help battery life, as there was some reason that things took longer (i.e., used the processor more).

Yawn, I don't see that i'm waiting a significant amt of time for any of those things as it is. Cutting a few seconds here and there, big flipping deal.

So the only real iOS upgrade is the performance boost. Seriously, why are they wasting so much time and budget to create these useless animoji things and not try to create a decent Dark Mode for iOS like everyone's asking?? "Memoji"?!? What are they doing? I'm starting to lose hope for Apple once again...

I bet any money they don't create dark mode as to not step on their "night shift" feature.

I would say that the substantial speed improvements are pretty major....

I agree, trouble is it's difficult to fill two hours with operating system optimizations so we end up with fluff. Might be better for Apple to not tie themselves into these annual events? Just because there's a developer conference doesn't mean they need to have a lengthy public presentation when in reality they've not got much to show.

KeyNote, Developer KeyNote. Spend more than 30 seconds about performance improvements rather than the Stock App. Yeah, THAT really is important to developers.

Again, the keynote is an overview. There's a whole week left. Maybe tune in to some of those sessions?

Probably not, otherwise they would have said it by now.

WatchOS 5 supports WebKit - probably way too slow on Series 0.
