I'm having same issues. 2 bars seems to be the best I can get even at work where I have great coverage. Wasn't on Verizon before so don't have anything to compare it to. Haven't seen 3 or more bars anywhere yet.

I've been having the same issue. Dropping to 1X and getting stuck on that or 3G until I toggle Airplane Mode. Heres a pic of my 6 (work phone) and 7 side by side, one on LTE and one on 1X.

EDIT: 6 is on carrier profile 25.0 and the 7 is on 25.1.

I also had better service with my 6. It's a bit frustrating bc I use my phone as my hot spot for work out in the field. Hopefully it's not an issue with the phone and is resolved soon.

I'm not convinced its the iPhone 7's. I picked up a 6S plus to get me by until my 7 plus shows up and Ive dropped about 10 calls in the last 2 days. If the 7 is worse, I'm not gonna be happy...

It's gotta be the carrier settings, not the actual phone. So don't worry about that. A fix will come.

7+ on top, 6S+ bottom. Same sim card.

Mine is just officially dead, no signal at all. I had SIM card replaced today and still having the same issues, now it's just dead. A restart or network settings reset doesn't fix this one.

I'm officially just returning this and wait for the Jet Black when it becomes available.

I'm having this too, but am pretty sure this is software related. Had the same issue on iOS 10 Beta 4 where the signal would randomly drop. It was fixed in the subsequent beta and in the GM.

I've had all iOS10 developer beta since beta 2 up to the GM, never had this issue with my 6S+.

Unless you were able to get the iPhone7 and test with beta software before everyone else then I'll be extremely jealous. Lol

I'm keeping my 6. I'm so glad that I decided to wait to buy the iPhone 7. This is so bad. At this price point no one should have these problems.

Agreed. I've been on Public Beta 1 for iOS 10 on my iPhone 6s+ and never had reception issues.

Just installed Dev Beta 1 on my 7+, and I had annoying signal problems today. Restarting the phone obviously didn't fix it either. Ugh!

On 10.1 for around 24 hours. It seems slightly improved but issues still persist. So, either 10.1 does nothing and the actual signal quality in my area is better today or the issue has been partially addressed.

Problem happened to me on my way out to dinner before. Siri wasn't working on my watch when I tried to dictate a text message. Pulled my phone out and sure enough, two dots of 3G. Wife's 6S next to me was on LTE. Took me toggling airplane mode to get LTE back.

That's what you get for going out to dinner with the wife.

One thing I must admit. I previously had a iPhone 6s Plus with the carrier hack and I did not have this issue. I removed the carrier hack and noticed service degradation in service and now having the iPhone 7 plus the service is still degraded.

so I just picked up a 7 (regular), and it definitely has better signal strength than my 7 Plus. on all my previous iPhones, I usually get 3-4 dots with Sprint at home, and 1-2 dots with MetroPCS. my 7 Plus sits at 1 dot like 95% of the time with Sprint, and my 7 at 2 dots with MetroPCS.

I've been with AT&T for years but I live in a rural area and their service recently took a dive here. I was actually waiting to buy a SIM-free CDMA 7 Plus and switch to something like Straight Talk or Verizon prepaid because I've been testing their service in my spare 6 and it's much better than AT&T (no dropped calls).

This thread gives me pause so I'll be watching for updates before I take the plunge.
