Lucky Customer Gets New Apple Watch Ultra Two Days Early

I don't think this was delivered to him personally. Those seats look like waiting room seats at an ATT store.
All carriers received the Ultra today to get set up and ready to put on display in stores.
I think this redditor is trolling all of you. He likely works at an ATT store and is just opening the watch. Hence very few pictures and none set up.

I will say that it's definitely on the ugly side and this is why I did not and plan not on getting the ultra. Definitely one of the ugliest apple watch I have ever encountered.

I'll be flying back to Houston Sat at 7:30 am and going directly from the airport to the UPS Store to pickup my AW UltraMaybe a pit stop at the Apple Store to get an extra band if they become available
I suspect that’s going to be the overwhelming majority of Apple Watch Ultra buyers. There’s just not enough extreme sports people or athletes to make it just for them. Rugged is a fashion statement.
It kind of reminds me of when I asked a guy that had a ridiculously jacked up pickup truck if he ever took it off road. His answer was if by off-road you mean parking lots then yes 😂
It's meant to be big, bulky and easy to use with gloves. Hard to have it both ways. Needs to be big.
Of course, but there are plenty of large watches that look much better than this, and that’s a particular disappointment since the original Apple Watch design was so graceful and iconic. It looks like an unfinished prototype.

It's not a big watch face. It's a big bezel. It's about what... 1% larger actual real estate than the 45mm Apple Watch? And that watch band is such a travesty. Nothing about it is appealing. Not the color, not the way you have to loop the metal piece into the material. Just... hopeless.

Seems like everyone gets their stuff ahead of the release date or on it, yet my orders are getting pushed back to October and November ...
It’s all very subjective though. A lot of people bang on about how great Garmin and G-Shock watches are but they’re unbelievably ugly in design to me and look very clunky. The Ultra is exactly the modern take on a rugged watch that I’d expect, personally. Bit like how Blackberries etc suddenly looked very old fashioned when the iPhone appeared.
