I need help.

Same for me on my MacBook. iLife apps are recognized, but iWork apps aren't.

The same thing is happening to me, but I went another step in the wrong direction.

I logged in with my iTunes account and downloaded evernote.
Directly after, I was browsing the home page of the app store, I clicked on the Keynote icon and Keynote began to download at that instant.

I quickly paused the download, but the damage was done. My account was charged for a $19.99 program I already have installed on my computer.

I would really like to get my iTunes account credited.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated
(PS. I DO have the current updated version of iWork)

thanks

Bought a little app this morning from MAS, but would like to move it to the Utilities folder. (The Mac asks for my password when I attempted this). But I assume if did, MAS would fail to update it? Anyone know?---I like categories!

My hunch on this is you may have to wait for Lion because it will allow folders and you can name them as such.

There is a separate tab "Purchases" which shows you what you have bought and you can re download from there. Even if you go to the app itself and try to buy it again it will tell you it is already purchased and you can download for free (same as the AppStore in iTunes)

[of course this is only for Applications purchased in the MAS - it does not know about applications purchased somewhere else - big brother is still not here]

If you click on the installed button in the store it doesn't do anything. I was curious if it would put Aperture in my purchased log even though I've had Aperture for about 6 months now.

sorry for asking a dumb question but how do I access the mac app store? I cant find it in applications and any links off the mac app store website just direct me to download latest itunes which I already have installed.

I'm running snow leopard 10.6.5 and latest itunes

you need 10.6.6

You must run Software Update to update to 10.6.6.

You need to do a software update and it will get you to 10.6.6. Once your system updates and reboots you will see it in your dock.

I haven't had a chance to try this out, still at work (and will be for most of the day).

Just wondering if the App Store login tied to iTunes Store login (other than just being the same Apple ID login). Because I'm curious to know if iTunes/App Store gift cards will work with the Mac App Store (either now or eventually down the road)...

Just wasted an hour

After scanning through everything the only App I think is fairly priced and would have bought is iPhoto. (but I already have iLife 11)

Many of the programs are simply overpriced. Many of the free programs are "lite" or require you to pay one way or another. Of course people need to make money, I just have an issue with things being advertised as free when they are not.

Aperture may also be a good value at $79, but I just got Adobe Elements 9 for $40

Maybe there will be better Apps and prices in the future.

Apple is know for their expertise in keeping things simple. I see these App stores as getting to be overwhelming and out of control.
I don't know how they will do it, but I think at some point, they will have to scale back.

I wonder if it's not recognising iWork 09 because 11 is coming soon?

Or it may just be a bug and iWork 11 is still far off

i have iHomework

and so does the app store. This app for mac was free but now it cost $3 on the app store. I will like to have the app store version so would it charge me?

Locking Up..

Anyone getting the issue of it locking up every time you do something? I hit download Twitter, Freeze.. Updates, Freeze.. Ugh

Quality apple product

Regarding pre-MAS installations of iWork not being detected: could there be a distinction between the single and family pack versions? Just a thought.

Everything works fine here. It recognizes my installed apps. iLife & iWork.

Ahh, bang goes the theory then!

Oh well, I bought pages from the App store anyway, I hope Apple will 'Update' me to Pages 11 for free. Doubt it though.

Also, has Apple thrown UI consistency out of the window?

My copy of iWork '09 is not showing as installed.

My copy of Coda (by Panic) shows as installed.

My copy of Transmit (by Panic) is not showing as installed.

Yes, You can use iTunes gift cards or regular gift certificates by clicking the "Redeem" link in the Quick Links section of the App Store.

No it won't - it was purchased by different means, different license, different rights management. It even won't offer you updates - guess it is just a reminder that you already have it.
