Weird, my Graphire didn't care about mouse placement. But I made sure and loaded Wacom's own tablet drivers, instead of the default OSX tablet drivers. Maybe that was part of it.
This bug would happen with the Wacom drivers installed. Wacom knew about the issue, and were telling customers to wait for 10.4.3.

Anybody know yet why it's coming in at two different sizes? Mines 97 MB while I've heard others say theirs is only 53 MB.
I thnk it dependes on if you have dloaded the previous security updates. It includes all previous secuit updates so if you have been up to date on those, you probably get the smaller file size.

I have noticed that the fan deal is back again. It seems like my fans rev up and down ocasionally. I also noticed that my arrow moved slower after the update. Does anyone else experience the fan issue after the update?

Yes, the fans are reving up and down for me since updating. I'm running a 2ghz Dual G5.

No... I have had every single update available and mine was 98.8MB. Is it a difference of G5's vs. G4's???

Just installed and 2 bugs I reported are still not fixed :(

1. Mail still shows the time zone for received messages as BDT in the UK, it should be BST (British Summer Time). Correctly showing GMT for recent emails as daylight saving has ended now.

2. iChat and Mail do not 'hide' automatically when set as 'Login Items' with the 'hide' boxed checked in System Preferences > Accounts. This is just plain annoying when you don't leave your system running, every time I log in I have to manually hide them!

10.4.3 killed X11

After the upgrade X11 is not working anymore. It starts up and closes again after two seconds. Reinstalling X11 did not solve the problem.

Can anyone confirm the bevaiour or offer a solution?

Help!

After installing the update on my iBook G4, a little Unlock Keychain box keeps popping up when I restart, and I don't know what password I'm supposed to be entering into it. I only have 1 password and that's for my user account, and it doesn't accept that.

When I click Details, it tells me its something to do with Airport. I tried entering my wpa-psk (?) but it didn't like that either.

Press cancel. It'll be fine. :)

It was about 50MB (56?) on both of my otherwise fully up-to-date machines, one a G5 iMac and the other a G4 iBook. :)

Nah... I think there's something else that's wrong... My X11 works just fine:

Just installed the update on my eMac G4 1GHz.

Took forever to reboot after the update.

But everything is still working fine and dandy, and Safari seems to work properly on most of the sites I now go to!

Also Front Row works fine still here?

I do press cancel, but its appearing every time I restart my iBook, and it never used to. It'll probably go away if I enter the password it wants, but I don't know what that is :(

Okay, that's weird. I've had that once or twice but it's never been that persistent. For what it's worth, I've usually got it after resetting my PRAM so maybe, ignoring all logic, resetting your PRAM will help... :)

A little

Code:
 rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.x11.plist

did the job.

Everything's fine again

Well almost...
The promised effect doesn't occur:

X11 windows still stay in the background.

I think it had to do with my ~/.xinitrc
The presence of that file causes X11 in 10.4.3 to crash.

I used it to issue one command to X11: `xset -b`
This turns off the audible bell.
Do you, Mittrhrawnuruodo, know another way to turn off the audible bell? I find it quite annoying. Adding `xset -b` to my ~/.xinitrc is one of the first things I do whenever I'm using a new UNIX system.

Unlike others Safari seems just the same to me. Then again it was nice and fast with 10.4.2 so no complaints here.

Tor down

Can anyone else confirm if Tor is working for them under 10.4.3 — or if it has stopped working?

It was running fine under 10.4.2 but now refuses to connect after the update.

I can't currently connect to the Tor IRC to check if this is a reported issue or whether it's just at my end.

Mine is at 56.8

I wonder if the siza of the download has anything to do with other upgrades done and when??

I must say this new 6 mps internet connection is really fast - it tokk me less than a minute to download and upgrade. Incredible!!!:D :D

Good news to all AcidSearch users. A new version was released today, 0.61, which works with 10.4.3. :)

Aah... good to have AcidSearch back...

Is MainMenu still dead?
