Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Shipping

My shipping confirmation email didn't arrive until 18 hours after the store said the item had shipped.

Does it give a TNT tracking number on the Apple Store ? if it does then you may need to leave off the last two digits when you enter on the TNT website. This is what Apple told me when I phoned them to say I couldn't track my order on TNT - and it worked !

AAAAAAARGH...! The pain of waiting is just to much... ;)

The Order Status page has no menion of TNT, whatsoever, the only numbers I got, apart from web order number is the invoice number I pulled from the US Order Status page, and TNT's tracker doesn't recognice any of them, even if I leave off the first and/or the last two or more digits... :(

I'm starting to fear that I will not get it until Monday... :mad:

Yep, you should have some sort of TNT tracking number on the web store.

I've just checked my order and it shows the following:

Shipped
1 Shipped 27/04/2005
Invoice No. : 9032xxxxxx
Carrier : TNT UK Ltd
Tracking Number(s) :
8410xxxxxxx

So if you haven't got this tracking number you may want to give Apple a call..

Tiger arrived here too... !!! Guess I can't really leave the office at 3pm already to enjoy :rolleyes: The Apple Store sure performed perfectly on time backed by good TNT service.

Anyone been able to access the Tiger seminar online yet? I get an error message whenever I click on the link.

May 2nd, 4:30 pm?

Man, thats a little disapointing. Ordered April 12 at 9 am. :(
Anyone else get a ship date like this after being one of the first to order?
 
Nothing here either.

I orded the Up-to-Date on the 20th (I had a hell of time finding the link to order it after I ordered my PB) and still it's just processing order. No sign of anything... But ship date still says on or before today.

Who knows...
 
Disappointed

I called Apple a few minutes ago, because my Status went to shipped some time last night with a Delivery Date of 5/2.

I asked what was going to happen because on the 12th when I pre-ordered it said GUARANTEED by 5/29.

The rep. said an email would be going out and some sort of compensation will occur.

Just thought I would update

Compensation, eh? I wonder what that means.

It's not a big deal for me to wait over the weekend to get 10.4. I just think it's really stupid that several people got tiger early because of some sort of mistake, but somehow Apple wasn't able to process my order in the 15 days they had to do it. (FedEx 2 day delivery on the 27th should have been fine)

It's like the kid who procrastinates his class project until the night before it's due.

You'll have to let us know if you get any compensation for complaining. If it's any good I might call up Apple myself.
 
How long does it take a FEDex truck to reach my place. my copy of tiger was up for delivery since this morning 7:00AM it's 10:20 AM and it did not arrive up to now !! man i cannot even go and take a shower hoping they might show up at that time and i cannot answer the door :D .. I cannnot wait to have my copy of tiger !!! :mad:

Same here. Mine left on the truck at 7:40 this morning, and it usually gets here about this time. Come on, FedEx, don't let me down!

Tell me about it, When i go to work every day ., it's either the fedex truck, UPS or DHL out side delivering something by 9:00AM in my apartment complex. when i"m waiting for something from them. i get this delay . :mad: .. Man i just wanna get my copy of tiger and get on with my life :D . i Cannot stand myself not getting a shower when i wake up in the morning

The (not) funny thing is that UPS, which usually delivers in the late afternoon, has already been here to deliver a school book for me. Imagine my disappointment when I heard the doorbell ring (around the time that FedEx should be here), I run to the door, open it up, pick up the box that is exactly the same size as the box that Panther was delivered in, and I open it... :mad:
 
Could the release date have been predicted before Apple announced it?

How long has the dashboard demo been on the Apple website? Probably long before they announced the release date of April 29th, right? Well... did anyone happen to notice what date is on the Dashboard demo calendar? That's right... that was a big clue that I didn't notice until now. The release date probably could have been predicted long before Apple announced it. Tricky. :rolleyes:

By the way... mine's on the Fedex truck, too. Says it will be delivered before 4:30. We've waited this long... what's another few hours?

I can't believe I never noticed that! I've salivated over that demo so many times, and I looked at each widget one at a time, but I never even thought it could be that obvious!

Thank you so much for that link. If my package isn't here by 4 PM I'm taking a road trip to Long Island where I'll only be paying $10 more than the student discount price from Apple and I'll have it in hand immediately. I'll just need an RMA from Apple when my shipment finally arrives. You've made my day with that link,
