Damn! How are all of you that ordered it this week getting it already when I ordered the day it was released? Boohooooo

yeah, really.

I also ordered it on the 12th and it is yet to ship. I'm disappointed to say the least that Apple wasn't able to make good on their promise that I would receive it on April 29th. Not that it's a big deal, but if they aren't able to at least get the thing out the door in time, they shouldn't be implying an guaranteed delivery dates.

Last time I ever pre-order anything from Apple.

I'm in the same boat. I called Apple a 3rd time today and they said it may go out on Overnight shipping and that to the best of their knowledge, it will still be arriving tomorrow. I don't believe them for a second but I hope they're telling the truth. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow I won't be pre-ordering again either.

Installing on my G5 right now

To answer what some people were asking, yes it does come with an iWork 05 demo. And having 1 install DVD is so much nicer than multiple CD's except for those who don't have DVD drives. Much better than having to swap out CD's.

I recieved it at 12:05 and was running it at 12:40pm. When you install, you should choose custom, and not install all the languages and all the printer drivers, it saves a couple gigs. Dashboard is oh so sweet. :p

do current .mac members get free upgrades to new versions of .mac? also, according to appleinsider, tiger's launch may be delayed due to copyright problems. check it out

I am waiting for 10.4.1 before I upgrade. But, that doesn't sound like it will be too far in the future as Apple is already working on it.

But it's fun to read the fascinating posts about tracking numbers and minute-by-minute shipping status of everyone's software ... NOT!

:p

I just realized that, after I play around Tiger, and get used to all the new features, I am going into a state of semi-depression, I have nothing else to look forward to (as much as tiger). :(

But from now on, anytime you see anything at all about Microsoft's "Longhorn" you can just sit back and giggle. For example, here's Gates talking about Longhorn a couple of days ago: "When I see those demos, I think, Gosh, let's get Longhorn done"

Feel better now? :)

Thank You For The Great Photos Rick

kungax (AIM & Skype)

Actually I really do. But the thing that saddens me is that: I was showing Tiger off to some of the other guys in my dorms, and they were blown away, especially by Dashboard and of course Spotlight; but one of the guys kept on making excuses and saying "well I can't wait till Microsoft copies that," and I told him, why doesn't he just switch to macs, but he kept on making baseless arguments, such as: "I won't be able to download "stuff"."

Really sad, its like they are hooked into a machine and are in denial about it. :( :( :(

Hey, is that a 20" or a 23" ACD?

Edit: NM, its a 20", sweet.

Tiger was sent to me today. However, FedEx did not leave it at my house. I thought it was coming tomorrow so I went to UPS to pick up another package. I was wrong. Tiger is at FedEx. I'm going to work tomorrow and at 8am I'll be at the FedEx store to grab tiger. Too bad I gotta work all day so I can't install it anyway.
After happy hour and poker I'm all over it!
Drunken installs of Tiger! I should backup....this is a first for me, Mac + backup + new OS.

Still waiting....

Hurry up TNT, it's only about 30 km from the depot to my home. But I guess I'm not the only one waiting for Tiger in Northeastern Switzerland :)

Still no sign of my little parcel and TNT have some problems on their server so cannot check whereabouts. If we're on the same truck hope TNT arn't planning on going via the Loetschberg ...

Well TNT have let me down once again. Apple shipped yesterday on 'Intl Overnite' service, yet when I phoned to check the delivery today, apparently it's still in their European hub. Apparently if I lived in Mainland UK I *would* have got it today, but because Northern Ireland is on the other side of the globe, it'll be Tuesday (after the Bank Holiday) before I'll get it.

I don't know who to be angry at most - Apple for releasing a major product on a Friday before a bank holiday weekend (hence meaning a minimum 4 day wait before the next possible delivery day), or TNT for operating a so-called INTERNATIONAL OVERNITE service, which doesn't seem to be able to ship a package to a UK country for delivery on the next working day like it claims on the tracking information.

I'm absolutely fuming... I spent the guts of yesterday evening backing up all my information and getting the system ready for Tiger.

Mine has been out on delivery from Zurich since 7.59. Even during rush hour it doesn't take more than 2hrs 30 min to go from Zurich to my place. So please hurry up.

Something tells me I may just beat you to the post... :D
29 avr. 2005 09:52 Geneva Out For Delivery

Have a great weekend !! (of course they would go and forecast 25 degrees this weekend  )

Finally, my Family pack has been shipped, according to Apple Order Status... :D

A couple of thing worries me though... I've not received the promised shipping confirmation by mail, and there's no shipping number or (usable) reference on AOS, that lets me track the shipment at TNT...

So I'm worried sick that it will not be delivered today... :(
