My bank account has been charged for the computer. They only charged me for the printer last week just before it shipped. Anything else I can do?
I simply don't believe the authenticity of the screenshot he provided. I photochop for a living so I don't believe pictures anymore. But as soon as I saw someone that's been around for a while post, that was all the proof I needed. I updated that post to show that.
I'm just glad to see its shipping. A well worth wait, indeed.

Not true. If I click the order number on my order acknowledgment email I get the same message.

Around 5pm tonight I went down to the Apple Store. I was going to give in to temptation and buy a stock Mac Pro. I have a 3.0 ordered with the 8800gt. I just couldn't stand it anymore! My experience there change my mind. One salesman said, "you can't install the airport card yourself. It requires removing 1,500 screws." I'm pretty sure he said 1,500! The other told me that they would have to install the bluetooth card, too. I said, "bluetooth comes standard." The reply was, "oh, it's an upgrade." I said, "bluetooth comes standard." He said, "really?" I walked out unsatisfied on so many levels.
And then I get home and some people are getting shipping notices.

Yesterday evening, I received the following email from the Apple reseller I ordered my Mac Pro from:
"Thank you for using Computer Warehouse (CW), UK's largest Apple Computer and Accessories Retailer.
I am writing to advise you that Apple will begin shipping the Mac-Pro with the upgraded 512Mb 8800 Video card as soon as they rectify an issue with the Video card's firmware.
As anticipated, please expect around 1-2 weeks before shipment. I will contact you as soon as they have shipped to advise of next day special delivery.
If you have any further enquires do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank You for your time and co-operation."

I was under the impression you had to know a little bit about the products you're selling to be an Apple Store employee. Nice to see they continue to lower the bar.
You don't have to remove ANYTHING to insert the Airport card into its slot. (as many already know) And to not know Bluetooth comes standard??? Gimme a break, the thing's been out a month already and that store employee has no clue???
Hmm... i guess since i also ordered Feb 1st and also ordered an AirCard, that will push the shipment maybe till Thurs/Fri... otherwise I'd probably get a ship notice too about now. Hmm.
Originally it was to be shipped on Feb 13, delivery by Feb 19. They haven't updated this info yet.

I'm not defending them, but I bet they rarely have walk in sales for the Mac Pro. Now ask them about an iPod...
Don't you have to move the hard drive bays out of the way (bay 1 and 2) or are you not counting these? It's really just two screws that hold it in (at least from the previous Mac Pros anyway) and the antenna are just tucked away to attach to it.
I'm wondering if its a BTO hold(?). I ordered mine with an Airport card as well... i wonder if everyone who ordered just the 8800 are being shipped or if others (with Aircards, etc..) are being shipped as well.
Hmmm... I ordered the same day and was quoted the same "Ships by Feb 13th, Deleivered by Feb. 19th". Hopefully I'll see mine updated later this evening.
If not, Apple is getting a phone call tomorrow.

if you see the config of the person who started the thread he has a express card as well so i guess that can be ruled out as adding to the delays
Well if this turns out to be true then my thoughts that the MP's with 8800GT were waiting for Leopard 10.5.2 was not true. Good because who knows when 10.5.2 will hit the streets.
