Mac Pro 8800gt Are Shipping!

I will do that, sales is only open till 7pm CST. So I will have to call tomorrow. I'm confident all of the 8800GT orders will now start to ship immediately. I'm going to have to next day air this one!
Mac Pro was also shipped
I was also just notified my Mac Pro was shipped today.
I ordered the 8 core 2.8 with an Nvidia 8800. Mine was originally scheduled to ship on 2/22/08.
I did not get the wifi which sounds like it may be holding up some people's orders.

Hmm... i hope my credit card didn't put up a fight (like with Wild Bill). At least he had a phone call to notify him... i don't think i will find anything out like that until sometime next week in a letter. I know its not that, but you can't help but wonder what the hold could be since my status hasn't changed.

Maybe its because i asked for overnight delivery and they don't want me to have it till next week.. who knows...
Prepared for Shipment

Just checked my web order number and it is now showing "Prepared for Shipment". Hopefully I'll get a shipping confirmation tonight.
But STILL, I'm pitching that damn Chase card immediately if not sooner. I could have had my shipping notification already if it weren't for them. Had I not gotten the automated call from Chase & then called both Apple & Chase immediately, I would have been screwed.
dragon reborn - I suggest you call Chase most rickey tick and find out what the deal is.
** For the SoCal folks who got shipping notification, where is yours coming from????

Ordered my 3.2GHz/ (2) 500GB/ (2) superdrives/ 8800GT/ 4GB of ram/ airport on the 12th of Jan 2008 from MacMall but it doesn't give shipping dates but when i checked my order status it still says BACKORDER maybe i should of ordered directly from apple but the only reason i ordered from MacMall because thay gave me a free printer and free copy of parallels 3.0 , does it make any difference where you ordered? i guess i checked back again tomorrow MacMall is located in torrence, ca and i live in san diego, ca and torrence is about 2 hours away from were i live, so it shouldn't take that long if apple begun shipping MacPro with 8800GT.

Of course it matters. Apple can ship you directly from the factory, whereas mac mall will have to receive their shipments and then send the machine to you.

If it makes you feel any better still no charge or update for me.
Maybe the ADC Student discount had something to do with it, in my case at least. Oh well, if I have to wait because I got that discount then I'm perfectly happy with that.
they could also drop ship but most likely not, and skyline you also get a free printer after rebates directly from apple only downside is the tax
I think they are holding the developer orders in the back of queue. Probably because of the huge discount.
Part of me wishes I would have kept my order for a Pro with the 8800GT in, but I have enjoyed the last few weeks with my machine. And as soon as the add-on card is shipping en mass, I will be ordering.

whatup bill i'm in San Diego also in spring valley area but i didn't order it directly from apple, i ordered from MacMall but it still says BACKORDER for me.
Mine still says "not shipped yet". Ordered on Jan 14th. Scheduled to ship Feb 20 delivered on 26th. Quad 2.8, 2 gb ram, 500gb drive, 8800GT, airport express, iwork.
No email yet. I am paying through my bank account... I called the day I ordered to raise the limit (fraud issues obviously) and Apple put the charge through, or held the funds. Well, after several days, the hold fell off since they didn't charge it yet.
So, I'm afraid it might get declined if they put it through tonight. We'll see. Hopefully something changes soon.

Call your credit card company now and alert them to the forthcoming charge. They'll flag your account to avoid a decline.
