Mac Pro 8800gt Are Shipping!

Ordered the 9th, no activity on my order status nor credit card. And I don't see that anyone's really posting screenshots (though I probably wouldn't really believe them ... I was thinking of faking one by just altering the HTML of the status page and posting it here and seeing what people thought).

So yeah, where's the proof, folks?

There is no way in hell this entire computer has that many screws in it, and that includes if you took apart every device in this thing. You basically said it yourself, they are morons.
 
Hmmm...

I ordered a 3.0 w/ the ATi early this week. Got the 8800 as an add on.
It's set to ship between tomorrow (7th) and the 11th. The card, by March 26th.

So..the question is... do I cancel before tomorrow morning and re-order w/ the card installed. Save a little $$. Hmm....

I do need the machine ASAP tho..

Yep, so mine got shipped too.

Mine has EVERYTHING STANDARD + 8800GT. I ordered it with the STUDENT discount and I have standard shipping :-( (which I regret now). Shipment date Feb 6th, delivers by Feb 13th. I placed the order on Jan 31, 2008.

Cannot wait! I will post benchmarks as soon as I get it and set it up.

You can doubt if you want, but I did what i could to prove that my shipping notice was legit. All i know is my mac pro should arrive by monday or tuesday (feb 11th or 12th). Once it does, i'll take pictures of the inside with the 8800gt. Can't do anything more than that. I did what i could, take it or leave it, it's happening and people are going to be getting their mac pros REAL soon.

See that's why I'm thinking my order is delayed a bit by the BTO. You ordered the same time I did with the standard config, but I had the airport card added as well. I'm guessing it shouldn't take that long, but man... it's crazy that's the only thing holding up the show on my end. I'm glad I have overnight delivery. 😀
 
I just got a shipping notice from Apple. I have a tracking number, but it hasn't entered the FedEx system yet. Apple has a deliver by date of this Friday. Is this the earliest? In any case, I will post pics.
 
I DON'T BELIEVE THIS B.S. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 20 minutes ago, I get a friggin' automated message from my credit card company (Chase) saying that possible fraudulent activity may have occured, Press 1 to listen. So I press and listen that my charge to Apple was declined. Did you place this order? If so, press 1. So I press 1 and it says I need to contact the company to re-process my order. 😱

Called Apple immediately. The first person I talked to couldn't re-authorize the card. Very upset, I called Chase and bitched them out. Told them to authorize the charge. They said they couldn't. I told them I ordered this product on the 8th of January and have been waiting nearly a month for this product, and that because of their automated INCOMPETENCE I would probably have to wait even longer. I told them if this screwed up my order I can pretty much guarantee I'm canceling my service with them.

Called Apple back, told my story, was then connected to someone who could help me. The guy said he was able to get the card charged. Hopefully I'll get my shipping notification today.

So now, I'm probably going to get it during the 13th-19th instead of getting it shipped tonight like so many others.

I can't believe this crap. After waiting so long I am foiled by my credit card company's incompetence. 🙄

Dude!!, I have a CHASE Amazon Visa and EVERY purchase from Apple gets declined for fradulent reasons, every single one. Every ipod, every $10 accessory. I orderd my pro on the 8th and it was declined at the point of sale. I used a different card and am cancelling my Chase card. This is the 5th time it happened. i have a $25000 limit on it with no balance and it always gets declined at apple's stores (brick and mortar and online). No where else does this happen.

Yeah, I read the first page, and it was "I don't believe you." I read the third page and it was bitching about military vs. navy. I saw no screenshots. So I made my post. Now I've gone through and read it more carefully and I'm starting to believe, but I'm also trying not to get my hopes up because mine still hasn't changed.

So the only notification you had that anything was wrong was because of Chase? Apple didn't send you any warning? I'm just wondering because what if Chase didn't call you... how else would any of us know. Hmm.

Hah!!!! 5 minutes after I logged in to see it prepped for shipment, I got the shipped notice with a delivery date for FRIDAY!!!! SWWWWEEEETTT...

I have 6gb of ram and a blu-ray burner on my desk gathering dust waiting for this baby....

As soon as I pay off this card at the end of the month I'm going to cut it to pieces and cancel it. This is totally unacceptable. I've charged larger amounts with it on Newegg before.

Now that most people are getting shipping notifications I'm getting the shaft. 🙄
 
Grr I want to order now, I returned my quad, I want to re-order with the 8800GT. Will they still let me get student discount? I used student discount on my first order. It's 1 per year though right?
