I ordered on Jan 29, just got a shipping due date of Friday, 2/8.

Mine ordered w/airport card 1/16; still shows 2/22 ship. There could be something to the airport card delaying the ship. Other than the guy who started the thread, anyone else get shipping confirmed with the BTO card?
 
Call your credit card company now and alert them to the forthcoming charge. They'll flag your account to avoid a decline.

I wish I could. It's coming from my bank account... and they are closed now. I used my debit/check card to pay for it online, not a credit card. Oh well, I guess I may have to deal with calling the bank and Apple tomorrow morning.

Okay, now I'm getting slightly ticked that people who ordered 3 weeks after me are getting their computer shipped.

Could people who are having their MP ship say when they ordered, ¿por favor?

dude call and complain thats what i did, i got $25 off and overnight hope mine ships by tomorrow

I'm not very good on the phone, I would just say something like, "I ordered on January 9th, and tonight I'm hearing reports of lots of peoples' computers shipping but mine still says it won't ship 'til next week. What's the deal?" and then I'd cave into whatever they say. :(
 
It doesn't.. my order (just shipped) had the edu discount. All this "you gotta pay full price to get priority" talk is nonsense.

I can't believe some people are after 'proof' with such vengeance-- well my proof is going to be arriving tomorrow on a FedEx truck. You can think, because of my newbie status, that I'm making it up..I won't care one bit. :)


I'm not going to post images from my apple store account page or from the fed-ex tracking page. But answer me this...if I post a jpg of the thing being un-boxed tomorrow evening (I'm in Las Vegas...so my 'ground' shipping is still overnight from CA), will you apologize as quickly as you accused anyone with a 'newbie' status of lying?

I hope that my next series of posts are constructive and mutually beneficial. This is my first entry back into the Mac since the mid 1990's. Thanks to those of you who are willing to help us newbies out.

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS B.S. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 20 minutes ago, I get a friggin' automated message from my credit card company (Chase) saying that possible fraudulent activity may have occured, Press 1 to listen. So I press and listen that my charge to Apple was declined. Did you place this order? If so, press 1. So I press 1 and it says I need to contact the company to re-process my order. :eek:

Called Apple immediately. The first person I talked to couldn't re-authorize the card. Very upset, I called Chase and bitched them out. Told them to authorize the charge. They said they couldn't. I told them I ordered this product on the 8th of January and have been waiting nearly a month for this product, and that because of their automated INCOMPETENCE I would probably have to wait even longer. I told them if this screwed up my order I can pretty much guarantee I'm canceling my service with them.

Called Apple back, told my story, was then connected to someone who could help me. The guy said he was able to get the card charged. Hopefully I'll get my shipping notification today.

So now, I'm probably going to get it during the 13th-19th instead of getting it shipped tonight like so many others.

I can't believe this crap. After waiting so long I am foiled by my credit card company's incompetence. :rolleyes:

Yes, the first time, my Chase Amazon didn't verify, and also happened with other online purchases. Now I know Chase truly sucks. I am at the point of dumping them.

And what they'd say is likely to be what is actually happening--orders are being processed and e-mail is being sent out. They didn't send the notifications in a bunch--they've been sending them throughout the evening.

My guess is that they'll all ship at about the same time.
 
Screw it. I'm going to bed and hope when I wake up tomorrow and check the Order Status that it will be like Xmas morning after Santa has left a really cool present under the tree.
