My favorite part of the picture is the dirty bowl sitting on the laptop. Apparently, all the money in the world doesn't make you a better housekeeper. My house is cleaner and I have four small children. But I guess being a slob means you're a creative genius who doesn't have time to put a dirty dish in the sink?
wow really? The guy probably just ate, was feeling his music, and turned on his camera in the moment. And here you are ready to call him a slob? lmao man, i guess its true, when you are successful, there will always be people to bring you down.

This may be true. This may be a scam. This may be an error on Calvin's part to release this photo. In any case, doesn't matter if he uses a Mac Pro or a $300 piece of kit, the "musical" output is very bad. He is a very fortunate Scottish lad who has prospered due to the sad state of the music industry over the past decade, combined with a generation of unfortunate consumers who have not had the good fortune to be exposed to high quality writing, singing, playing of real instruments etc. YMMV.

macrumors you DO know there is a Windows case fake that looks JUST like the Mac Pro right?!

I do. All I am saying is that IF the 16" MBP is going to be announced it will be alongside the Mac Pro.

So, I still remain optimistic about a possible Tuesday announcement.

And those that say definitely 2020, don't know crap unless they are getting the news direct from Apple.

I’m jealous. I need a Mac Pro ASAP.

Dus the new Mac Pro do ray tracing now????

Any computer will do ray tracing using the CPU(s). AMD GPUs don't currently have Nvidia RTX-style ray tracing built in… yet. The AMD GPU destined for the Playstation 5 does appear to have ray tracing functionality, so hopefully this will be coming to macOS at some point in the future.

you do know that Calvin Harris uses Logic Pro? And you do know historically, he's used all macs?

So you mean to tell me that he's used Macs and Logic Pro all the way up to this point, only to now switch to a windows/hackintosh because they made a fake macpro case? What seems more plausible? A Millionaire celebrity influencer getting a macpro early, or him building a freaking hackintosh lmao. Dude, cmon.

and top of all that. The Dune case you are referring to, has no top handle. Which is clearly seen in Harris’s pic.

The new Mac Pro is crying out for empire-style lion feet. I will fulfill that need once I get the actual measurements for the screw-in feet.

The only thing I don't like about this machine – apart from the endless delay, non-Nvidia spec and potential price point – is those stupid feet. Fortunately it'll be under my desk. Maybe I'll paint them black or something.

I'll take two please (with wheels), ;) I'm looking forward to real world tests from creatives who push this Mac Pro to the limit.

Btw, does this MP have a street name yet?

i think the feet look simply amazing as an extension to the handles. why would you paint them black?

Why Tuesday? Why not Monday? Just curious. Thanks
My understanding is Tuesday is the magic day because it's early in the week but not right after the weekend.

This is the week because they've had two weeks to promote Apple TV Plus and there are two weeks until Thanksgiving.

Perfect time to release before starting to wrap it up for end of the year.

I don’t get why this is even news, Apple announced what the new MP will look like, it’s specs and when it’s going to be released (granted not with an exact date). We know Apple provides test units to developers, target audience and reviewers. It not what I would define as a “unicorn” as it was revealed on-stage.

If one does not like the design, that is fine but I find people tend to question the design of most things Apple has released recently and then warm up to it when seen in-person. I suspect the same here granted most won’t be able to afford it and will still complain about it.

There is a question of need and not affordability for logical minded folks.

Plus who cares if Calvin Harris has one before everyone else, it’s going to be available probably near the end of the fall deadline similar to the iMac Pro release. I prefer it gets properly tested now rather than having to deal with issues post purchase.
"There is a question of need and not affordability for logical minded folks."

Yes, for sure. You hear the little Apple Bloggers crying about the price all the time. They all want one and they can't afford it; however, almost none of them need a Mac Pro for what they do. Hell, many of them have iMac Pros and even those devices are overkill for how they make their living.

I'm thinking of the children on the Relay FM podcast network. You hear some of these guys talk about new devices and trying to convince themselves the latest Apple Bauble fits in with how they work, and it's just comical.

One of them was talking about having both sizes of the iPad Pro and he was all like "hear me out. The larger one can be like my desktop machine for when I work from home and the 9.7 (at the time) could be my travel iPad."

It's like--dude, they're iPads, not iMacs; they're portable. You want both machines because you have Apple Bauble lust. Just buy them. Don't try to justify the purchase--you sound silly.

They can't do that with the Mac Pro and it just drives them nuts.

How do we know it's not the augmented reality object of the Mac Pro you can download on Apple's website?
one, in harris' video, clearly it was not augmented reality, two..he has a cable wrapped around the circular handle on the top. i wouldn't think that would be included in the augmented version

Never heard of Calvin Harris, nor do I really care who he is. But those poor, pathetic feet on that expensive computer... It's a design travesty if I ever saw one!

The wheels for the Mac Pro look sleek! Does anybody know wow much do the wheels cost? I hope they are not like $1000! :-o

Have we got any official response about this from Apple or Calvin Harris? It seems to me this is either a planned publicity stunt or a mistake and now he's in hot water with Apple.
