Just another observation.
On Mac Pro's product page/ tech spec now it states that mac pro now ships with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Why is Apple doing this? Playing with us?

on this page under software, it said Tiger for a few days whereas other macs said Leopard immediately after Leopard's Friday release. The MP tech spec page's Add-ons links are still dead though. Some others and I were thinking that the new model was coming out so soon that Apple thought there was no need to update the page.

With those tech specs being changed, does that mean Leopard is pre-installed on the MacPro now when ordered online? And not a Drop-In?

with nice new graphics cards. these ones are very very old for the market.

No integrated audio in the new displays, please! That would be terrible. All I want are new higher resolution displays (bumping the 20" to 1920x1200, etc) with a similar form factor to what they have now. maybe with some black alum on it.
I'm excited to see how many pixels they're going to squeeze onto these things since they were able to get the 17" MBP to a 1920x1200 res.

It's like we are competing with the MacBook people. haha. They want the MacBook next week, we want the MacPro next week. Who will get what and when? We will never know. We just all hope it's the MacPro.
Man, the anticipation is killing me. It feels so close now.

It´s funny how Apple employees must be very careful about everything they say or do. Like forgetting to update a product-page.
Any way: Waiting for the Mac Pro starts to almost feel like waiting for Christmas. Only that you don´t know when Christmas is going to be and it could happen at any second or not for weeks.

yeah i had an alienware laptop that had that one time. i wish apple offered it as well
Here's a question, if apple DID wait until January how many weeks would we keep going "Maybe next week?".
I want it released sooner rather than later, though I guess since I won't be getting it until Feb/March, it shouldn't really matter to me... still all the same I want to see what they come out with so I know what I'll be getting.
It could be anytime from now until MacWorld. No later. Penryn would be way too old after January. lol I still want it by 11/13.
I hope that they come out next week. If they don't is it a sure thing for macworld? I need a computer very soon. If they do not come out next weekend and are pushed back to 2008, would you go ahead and buy a used MP now and upgrade it and just deal with it?
If it's not 11/6 then its definitely 11/13. If it's none of those dates, then its MacWorld. I'm giving Apple until 11/15, if nothing is out by then, I am forced to buy the current MacPro, which I would probably just purchase from the Apple Store Online.
