The wheels aren't user serviceable; you have to decide on wheels or not when you purchase the machine and are stuck with your decision.

So if you ordered the computer thinking you are going to put it on the floor, and then people decide to use standing desks, or you move offices, or your studio workstation changes to accommodate new hardware, then you can be stuck with putting a wheeled unit on a desk.

If that is true, that you cannot buy the wheels after you purchase and that the wheels are NOT removable, it is another clear example of EXTREMELY BAD DESIGN.
Please someone explain why if you are paying for a 10K computer, you need to pay an extra $400 for wheels that CANNOT be removed after installed and cannot even be locked???

Has someone said, users are tired of Apple spitting in their faces.

Yeah, totally agree. Instead of keeping the product line simple, and charging premium but fair prices as under Jobs, they’ve done the opposite.
They now have a silly complex product line and the majority of it is hugely overpriced.
And buggy software to go with it.

You agree that Apple shouldn’t innovate, but rather, sell fewer products because it’s too complicated for you? Grow up.

Idiоtas paying $400, wheels are for rollin'. If you ain't rollin' don't buy wheels lol

The Ikea chair I'm sitting in right now auto locks the wheels when you get up for exactly that reason. It's apparently an EU safety requirement.

I bought a (rather cheap) IKEA office chair recently and it doesn't lock (or autolock). Sounds like an odd thing to regulate.
