8/2-8/9 for me, Midnight 16GB/256GB w/ 35W charger.

This is my first BTO purchase from Apple - are the estimates usually pretty spot on or is there a chance they could send earlier?

Ordered the 10-core GPU 512GB Space Grey model. Chose the Space Grey to go along with my 13 PM and S7. 21/7-28/7 estimated delivery date.

With delivery estimates Apple has a tendency to underpromise and overdeliver. However, demand for the redesigned MacBook Air is expected to be high and production capacity is likely to remain low.

Ordered the M2 Air 16 gig Ram, 35W Charger, August Delivery... Wonder if all of the 16 gig models got pushed out? Or maybe it will show up next Friday.

Midnight 16GB/256GB w/ 35W charger - pick up date in Amsterdam Netherlands will be 8th Aug😭. A month away

Weird that the custom colors have different ship dates.
ordered right at store open and my custom midnight M2 MBA ships august 2-8 but the starlight model ships earlier when customized.

I preordered mine. Got 16/512 through the education store. They gave me a $150 discount bringing the total down to $1479 before tax. Does that sound right? I thought the education discount was only $100 off?

Mine said the same thing ($150 "savings"). But when you add it up...the MBA is $1099 vs $1199 without education discount. And the RAM upgrade to 16 is $180 vs $200, and there's no savings on the SSD. Not sure how they go from $120 saved to $150. But when you actually compare the configurations with and without the education discount, it's $1479 vs $1599. So I'm assuming the $150 is just incorrect...or maybe there was supposed to be $30 discount on the SSD upgrade.

But my point is the actual money spent only reflects $120 in savings, not $150.

Edited to add: Oddly enough, there is an education discount of $20 for the 1TB SSD. And a $60 discount for the 2TB SSD. But no discount for the 512. I've never used my education discount before...so I don't know if this is normal or not.

There's a $150 gift card promotion for Macs in the Education Store right now. Basically:

1) You get the regular education discount
2) Then there's a $150 discount off of the price in (1)
3) Then you pay $150 for the gift card, and receive it via email

I see! I guess that makes sense...like you're "buying" the gift card and then they are giving you a discount for it which offsets the costs.

So in a way, that’s $300 in savings! Nice!

I think you missed the part about paying $150 for the gift card.
Well, it’s $150 that you can then spend in the Apple Store. If there’s any chance you’re going to buy anything else from Apple in the relatively near future, or you have any Apple subscriptions, then, yes, it is effectively a $300 discount.

My wife is a teacher so we qualified for the discount. We’ll use it for purchasing AppleCare+ on the new MBA once it arrives. (I have heard that that might not be possible, and if that’s the case, I’ll apply it to our Apple One subscription.)

Yes, the fact that the discount comes in the form of a gift card means you actually have to spend money post-purchase with Apple to monetize it, but that’s not a problem for us, and it’s certainly better than getting a free pair of basic AirPods for which we have no use.

I closed my eyes, choose the 10 core M2, 16GB, 512GB with 35W charger. Midnight.

Coming from the base Macbook Pro M1. Estimated delivery second week into August. It's a lot of money, but this one has everything I am looking for. I've tried so many alternatives from Samsung and Huawei, but no way. I'm an Apple-man. Just realized that might be the reason I'm a vegetarian 🤔

I ordered a base model just in case I decide I want it next week :D.

If unsure, best to reserve a slot. Who knows, with the way things are what stock will be like in the next few days,

Then again, they alway have base models on launch day in stores, but that's a bit of a crap shoot, although can be fun for the hunt aspect.

I do need something on the light side. But there's the serious 'Apple Tax'. Not something I will ever get used to.

Yeah, I think it would actually work out to $270 savings on the 16/512 config. $100 off the base price, $20 off the RAM upgrade, $150 gift card. But I appreciate any amount of money I can save. :)

Oh! And 3% cash back if you pay with Apple Card.

Please let us know if you were able to get a fair trade-in value for your 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Not so far.... this morning I worked with support and then ended up at $560 which is really the quoted price for late 2020 MBP with my config. I should have just planned to sell 3rd party and bought the MBA outright. Now I wait.....

Two M2 midnight 8C/10C 8GB 512 GB ordered through website.

Apps on iPhone and iPad both timed out during checkout and stuck on address page.

No option for pick up.

Delivers 18 July and not 15 July :(
Did you get the 512 for storage or faster ssd?
