I ordered my Macbook Sunday afternoon Aug. 20th, and they said it would be shipped out of the factory in 3-5 days. Yesterday I got this e-mail from Apple saying:

We are unable to ship your MacBook by the date given when you placed the
order. It is expected to ship on or before 8/31/06.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause.

before it is shipped.
