I don't think these will be in stores till at least the end of the week if not longer. This whole rollout was pretty bad...Pre orders for Apple Watchs are backordered for 2 months? A MacBook announced a month ago already has a 1-1.5 month backlog? This is horrendous.

Agreed, normally you announce a product for release that makes sense to meet supply\demand. The fact that they can't indicates they either had a production issue, or they have lost control of their suppliers\manufacture partners. Either way, yeah, it's bad that nobody at Apple seems to have any real information. To expect someone to wait 4-6 weeks for a laptop is absurd.

I do hope the rushing to get these laptops produced means the quality of the product isn't going to be compromised. I've got the return policy sure, but I don't want to be faffing with that if I can help it.

Not avaolable in Paris

Hello,

Here are some informations for France

Opera Store in Paris : not displayed, not available ...no information on availibility (April 10th)

Val d'Europe Store (Near bu Disneyland Paris) : not displayed, not available ...no information on availibility (April 11th)

Louvre Store in Paris : not displayed, not available ...no information on availibility (April 12th)

Not much people in that 3 stores for the Apple Watch which is also not available.

Cylou...

I was at the Lenox Apple Store in Atlanta, GA this past Saturday and they had the new MacBooks on display, though I do not know if they were in stock/for sale yet.

Fairview (Montreal) Apple Store doesn't have it in stores or in display
So does the Laval (Montreal) and the st-Catherine (Montreal) store

Don't know if it's available for purchase, but it is on display at the Vintage Faire Mall, Modesto, CA store.

Australia

Country: Australia
State: Queensland (QLD)
City: Brisbane
Store: Chermside Westfield

No display, no availability.

I was in the Crossgates Mall store in Albany, NY on 4/11 and the had them on display. Didn't ask about stock availability as I'm not in the market for a new Macbook, I was just there to check out the :apple:Watch.

Grand central said "sold out" and no new ones for 4-6 weeks. Got a gold 1.2/512 at best buy rather than wait for 1.3.

Pretty lame that people randomly walking into a Best Buy can get one before those of us who ordered direct from Apple at midnight on April 10th...

An older gentlemen was buying a Space Gray one at the 65th street Apple Store in NYC. The sales rep didn't mention anything about the backorder, I assumed the stores may be getting stock. I didn't stick around to see him actually get it though, it may have eventually been brought up.

The ST. Louis Galleria store has them on display, they do not know when they will have them in stock to purchase. I was there today looking at them.

I'm seriously amazed by all this. That Best Buy can sell them before any Apple Store in the US even has them in stock is astounding.

This is specifically aggravating because I am trying to utilize the Apple Education discount. I guess I am the mirror image of all those "movers" getting discounts at Best Buy ;)
